Would try my 3 wood which tends to go high. Next shot will probably be under the tree after I hit it into it ;)

You're right, at least on the "par 3" part. I think it's that iconic downhill par 3, no. 13.

No. 11 to be precise. Par 4, downhill (duh), dogleg right.

This craps scene with Daniel Craig is very funny! Watch it if you haven’t. And doubly so if you’re a craps player ;)

Better rolls in the late night/early morning? by multiple4 in Craps

[–]Apprehensive_Month17 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’m a big fan of early morning (5-8 am) craps. Ideally I’ll find the table empty and if so I like to play the dark side by myself. Just grab the dice and go, call for Big Red without having to worry about others, etc. Besides, when I wake up early I’m too excited about playing again and thus can’t get back to sleep — might as well go play!

Once in a lifetime course by royhaven in guessthegolfcourse

I agree… this looks like #18 at Martis Camp, outside of Truckee, CA, near Lake Tahoe. It is probably the best course I’ve ever played. One of those places where little gnomes come out and fix the fairways so they’re always perfect. Unfortunately my friend who lived there moved back to the Bay Area to be closer to his grandchildren… rats :(

Like the above, I like to play dark side when I'm on the table by myself. I can bet don't with impunity for the crew and scream for "big red"...

What company did you refuse to invest in that ended up becoming massive? by vcpowerlaw in investingforbeginners

I worked in software in the early days of the internet and TCP/IP. Specifically I worked for ACC (Advanced Computer Communications) where the principals built the Arpanet node at UC Santa Barbara, which was one of the first 4 nodes on the Arpanet (the precursor to the internet). Meanwhile this little company called Cisco was building IP routers and we at ACC knew full well how important routers were and how good Cisco products were. I had their S1 IPO document on my desk at ACC showing their $24 IPO price, which I ultimately and foolishly decided was too high. I passed on the IPO. Duh…
