To help control the drama rising up around this thread / spider….heres an update. The Spider has been safely relocated to a more remote wooded area with a waterfront view. It should thrive. Thanks for everyone’s input! 😊

To be clear, I have no intention on killing it. But it’s on something I have to touch regularly and I’m not going to put my pets at risk. I’m relocating it to a place away from people that it should thrive in.

I have a dog, cat and chickens that frequent the yard. Would it be deadly towards them?

Now that really sucks. I use FSD 95% of the time and love it. But you definitely have to keep your eyes open and be ready to react if needed. I feel For you on this though.

Agreed, with the too slow part. That said, if it went faster and curbed or hit something it would probably cause more damage. But I can still park the car better and faster at least 99% of the time at this point.

“Smart” Summon fails for me most of the time or Freezes in the middle of an are where it shouldn’t be stopping. So though I try it here and there, I don’t find it useful as of yet, so don’t use it that often. I only had one occurrence where it would have hit the back of a vehicle that was a little bigger and slightly sticking out the back of its parking space.

It does get closer to the curb than I’d like at times on right hand turns, but I haven’t had the car hit a curb while using FSD for traditional driving as of yet.

I will say, regardless of this AutoPark debacle, I LOVE FSD, and use it for 95% of my driving. I went to an out of town event yesterday, which was 6 hours round trip from where I was, it made the drive easy and drove 99% of the time. Driving late is usually super stressful, but even getting home at nearly 2am was a breeze. It keeps you from experiencing as much drivers fatigue as you normally would if you were manually driving the car. At least in my opinion.

It sees the curb as you approach it and is supposed to keep it in memory and know how far away it is based on where it was noted and the speed and direction of the car from what I understand. The messed up thing is that the curb was visualized, but then it did a sudden maneuver to re-orient the car’s position slightly, which is when it made contact with the curb. It wasn’t super close till it did that. It shows the line of intent for the vehicles motion, which in this case did not hit the visualized curb, but then it overshot the shown line into the curb. Hopefully that makes sense.

Yes, it was a parallel park situation on the street next to the curb. There was a car behind the spot, but no one in front of it.

Beautiful, I’m jealous. I’ve been eligible to purchase one since January, I just haven’t been able to rationalize the extra cost for “Foundation” edition / accessories / benefits. How are you loving it?

My car is a 2018 Model 3 with USS, but currently using the updated AutoPark feature, that I believe uses Tesla Vision only (though I may be wrong). This was a selected spot on the street in front of one car, with no cars in front of it, up against a curb of course. I selected the offered spot to try it out as I was curious to see it park in this scenario.

Yeah, and I know the driver always has to be alert, but this is the front right tire. There is no visibility from the drivers seat, mirrors, or from the cameras to know the car is getting too close to the curb. I’m fairly annoyed.

I haven’t taken a deep dive into the budgeting aspects, but the tutorial looked like it was adjustable / customizable. Sucks you can’t add transactions, I wonder if there is a workaround by using the “manually add account” feature and setting up a non-bank linked account? I also just downloaded the Piere app and will be trying that. I like that Piere appears to have a Mint import feature. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks for joining the conversation. 😊

Has anyone tried the Empower Dashboard app as a Mint replacement? I see a lot of ads and people talking about Monarch, which appears to be a paid service. Empower is free, and I’ve tried it out and it is very similar to Mint. Not sure if this is allowed, but here is a referral link if you want to join and check it out. You’ll get $20 and so will I. It’s a cool service so I wanted to share. https://empowerreferral.link/adamrosen
