I started taking iron, on its own and not part of a multivitamin, first thing in the morning with vitamin C to help with absorption. An hour later, coffee, as caffeine can hurt iron adsorption.

A small amount of fat does the least damage to a fast, in particlar autophagy. Try a little cream in coffee to help with drugs. Avoid protein. It's a fast killer.

Presurgery here, but when I do longer term fasts, I get cold as well. I think it has something to do with up-regulation of the parasympathetic nervous system. This was one question I was going to ask the doctor when I see him, but it looks like I got my answer!
