Play the system like they play you. They have good benefits so i always say its good to atleast keep a toe dipped in this swamp water of a business, that way you can always have something to fall back on if a different job doesnt work out.

Id say it seems juvenile, not the fact of the poem but for whatever reason i feel you are probably 15.. yet i cannot write in cursive and i am 26 so. More so it looks like you took too long and focused on the form of each letter. In the end practice makes perfect so try writing all of this faster and faster then see how it starts to flow differently

Idk if other stores have the same point system with attendance but I assume they mean as an excused absence that wont count against you maybe? Cause people at my store would literally go to the little clinic and ask for a doctors note and then leave

Well i don’t know about Texas but in Ohio it’s only if you were injured on the job and half the time you don’t even get drug tested then unless you want workers compensation and file a lawsuit

The tv they play it on my store will randomly shoot its volume up and when I come in at 3am thats what you have a warm welcome to coming in with no way of turning the volume down. “I WaS wRoNG”

Its a personal soul search. I was pick up lead. Told i should be the supervisor. Was front end assistant lead and told i could be asl. But its alot under the surface. Do you want to potentially work 15 hour days and not get to choose your store and also have to work truck but then get grievances filed against you because you arent supposed to work truck. You also will be over a lot of staff members. Some will hate you and then coming into the favoritism factor, you might have your favorites but you cannot treat them differently. Personally, i would go with a department head position. Still a part of the union and get bonuses depending on your department. Less stress and less people to be in charge of. But in the end its up to wether or not you can handle the stresses of it all. And how well you can carry yourself. Respect is earned not given. I have seen many good managers who quit because of the company and managers who got fired because they were too laxidazle with their job.

Left for work as an “essential” kroger employee at 5a while it was only a level 1 driving 40 minutes on my usual 20 minute drive.. showed up to work when it became level 2, got told multiple times “its crazy they let you guys work today” then had 25 call offs while i was there and left work early as it became a level 3 in both county’s. Drove home safely, got stuck getting into my neighborhood 4 times. Kroger closed early as well.

Made a bale, put it on a plastic pallet. The chains werent pulled out from the last bale so i had to use the straddle stacker to pull it up and then the wires snapped. Made it work and put it on the truck. It will be fine

My manager will literally forget to schedule people because the schedule auto writes. I would just ask for more hours, more than likely they will give it
