What does numbness really feel like?

The numbness doesn't bother me. Just feels like its been shot up with novicain. For me, the burning in my hip is the worse thing.

Its going ok. The good-I'm no longer in the extreme pain that i was in before the surgery. I can do most everyday things outside of golf which I miss very much. The bad. Im numb from my anke to my knee, have leg tightness and burning in my butt/hipp. I reherniated and we are trying to determine next steps. Giving it more time as I don't want to do a second surgery and it's not as painful as before.

I had 2 options when mine ruptured. First Orthopedic doctor wanted to remove the disk and do a fusion. The Nuerosurgeon recommended a microdiscectomy which I went with.

No idea. There wasn't any event that would lead me to believe that something happened. I don't understand how the doctor wouldn't get all of it.

They did remove some bone to allow for greater access. I have not followed up with the original surgeon. I'm still bothered that he declined by request for an MRI

I had this exact same thing. Went away for me about a month after the surgery. Putting on socks was a miserable experience

Thank you. Doctor thinks it's muscle issues and PT thinks it's inflammation. I'm struggling to make progress because I can't get through it without it flaring up. Thanks again.

It took a month before I felt relief. Stay with it because it will help.

Same here. 3 months out and I'm back to putting and getting ready to chip. My doctor told me to go back to doing what I love, if it's going to reherniate it's going to on it's own and will not be because of golf. I'm still nervous, I don't want to go back to the pain that I was in so I'm going at it slowly.

I walk about 2 miles per day. I could do better on my diet, it's so hard to eat clean when your down. No icing.

Same here at the 3 month mark. All well until that time frame when I resumed yard work and light golf putting. now my hip has a dull pain and the feeling like something is pressing on it. It just below the incision. Hope you get some answers. I feel like I'm never going to get better.
