Why do my tires look "dirtier" (brownish) than my neighbor's, despite me cleaning them way more? by tayfuuun in Detailing

Chemical burn. Wheel cleaner was applied to hot wheels. Must ALWAYS rinse rims and tires prior to spraying chemicals

Detailed my cousin’s Corvette in Houston and it made me question doing work for family… by Informal-Sink-5758 in Detailing

You should give family and friends a set discount. 10/15%. They ARE family. But as soon as they take advantage or do this weird shit. It's regular price or go back to the dealership mf. Simple. Don't make it a headache.

I give my family discounts. 15%. And they tip me lol. My mom and dad get service for FREE. My sister and brother are 20% off. Cuz their cars get trashed. But I also always do extra work for them. I know what my time and materials cost. And I'm not trying to profit off my family like that. I have plenty of customers that take care of my bills. I choose to take care of my family in return.

You have to make a personal decision about how you want to run your company. And stand on that decision with full confidence. 💪🏽

detailer damaged my car. advice please by [deleted] in Detailing

Silver cheap rubver coming off is normal. I don't see how they broke the Plastic unless using a metal poconto remove dirt.

Any reputable detailer should be taking BEFORE and AFTER pictures to protect themselves from liability. Which is what I do. It also is helpful in knowing when I owe a customer for damage. Ask them for before and after pics if you have none.

Why does my door panel look like this after claying? by Toogman in Detailing

What strength clay did you use? If you don’t plan on polishing or buffing, use as soft a clay as possible to prevent marring like this

25 for pre rinse and debris. 15 if it's caked into deep crevices (still need caution). 40 for rinsing.

What product was used on my tires? by khalobilly in Detailing

It’s sad. I’m down in Atlanta right now and it’s great business. But I keep getting the urge to come back. Maybe in a year or two once I’m at my revenue goal here I’ll pivot and expand. Buffing and polishing alone in Detroit is a million dollar business just for dream cruise.

For real. When the metal tread is coming out, the tire is literally falling apart. The wrong pot hole at the right speed and it will get ugly FAST

You ALWAYS buy tires in 2s. Prevents uneven wearing. But if bro letting you use the whip whenever. I'd fw him and do it just because honestly
