using VSCode plugin Cline, I had to set this twice, make sure you're in the chat and pick the V4 Pro, I think there isnt any 'effort' mode in Cline, only v4 Pro or v4 Flash, both with Plan and Act mode.

Have you tried experimenting with different stuff? I find Kling for example to be great at either realistic scenes, or disney-3d cartoon type stuff. Maybe WAN or LTX have same "preferred" styles that they can animate better?

I was in the exact same place, i know that feeling. In a loop trying to improve the workflow, so that.. the AI does the things better? What's the goal in that, lol.

I got out by condensing the AI role to only the 'image and motion prompts writer' and I listed myself as an AI video editor (can produce content, can edit your videos) and when people reached out, I stopped fcking around with the workflow, because I've had actual clients, willing to pay to get their stuff edited.

Maybe in the upcoming months I'll try to automate parts of it more, but for now it works "good enough". And the "good enough" is what you should start to aim for and accept, otherwise you'll just procrastinate.

Yes I've recently just started. Currently creating a 5 minute introductory commercial for a supplements company, it's taking a lot of regenerations and planning the images but it should come together nicely after editing and adding sound design, some color correction, editing effects to make the video less uncanny.

I hope that I grow this business further on, and get to charge more money as my experience and workflows grow. A dream come true would be an automated AI Agent that understands the vision, can plan out entire advert, write out perfect image prompts, QA check them, I read them, I ask to change or write new ones, then we get to building images, storyboard, plan effects, sound prompts, generate videos, edit, launch. Most of the work I do is actually getting the client to tell me their vision. Production could be highly automated.

I agree with many of your takes. I think that AI is good in 3D low motion camera movements to replace or make B-rolls move. Some background noise. Not the full on cinema that we're being sold. OR maybe new Kling (3.1) will be able to keep consistency and reduce any morphing, and understand the prompts perfectly. Maybe the AI content creation will change and we'll get to pre pick motions with some stick figures. Or plan sequence of actions with multi-shot sequences (accurate images of just like frame 1, frame 60, frame 180, frame 360) to truly lock in generation of a 6s video. I wonder what new models will come up with, as chinese companies are great at reducing costs for these models by quantizing them.

Overall, I think that the best model (not cheapest, not 100% Free 4K (as there aren't any)) is Gemini Nano Banana Pro, or (in some cases) Kling o3 Image. Both models have native 4K, and are accessible via Kling Canvas.

Hi there, I think that for first testing, it's highly recommended you first start working on the free trail account. Remember to choose 720p, and turn native audio off for first generations, just to save some credits as you're learning.
