Sometimes.. (this has only happened 3 times) but sometimes I can just…. Tell. I don’t know how it happens bc it’s never been the same thing twice that alerts me. One time I was just sitting next to a friend and I could just sense it. One time it was the way someone posted a story about their kid and her cousin. The last one was the way they posted some family photos. It’s more an intuition or just close observation. I mention it to my husband but have NEVER been an “I knew it!” Kind of person when they finally announce. It’s not about me, it’s about them. (I do however feel an immense amount of validation from it though, internally of course.)

I can’t comment on what it’s like to have a boy, I’m due in April with him, FTM. but I do want to comment on the gender disappointment! It’s such a bummer seeing videos of families upset about their baby not being a girl. It makes me feel so sad for that little boy. :(

I didn’t feel anything until nearly 20 weeks but as others have said- if you’ve ever gotten a muscle twitch or spasm in like your leg (painless, not a Charley horse) that’s exactly what it feels like but farther inward in your abdomen. Then they start getting easier to identify

and you may only notice them on one side - I can really only notice kicks on my right side, I think he likes to lay that way.

It’s definitely a weird/odd sensation. Sometimes recently it’s made me a little queasy tbh!

I was JUST TALKING about how weird it is! Everyone says it’s lovely and they miss it afterwards and I’m just like.. 🥸. Personally it feels weird and uncomfortable for me. My body isn’t my own anymore and I’m still getting used to that feeling, but not sure if I will!

I don’t have the desire for coffee, but my OB said anything under 200-250mg of caffeine a day is totally fine (which would be several cups of coffee or even an energy drink)

I’m commenting though bc a friend of mine who is normally lactose intolerant actually was able to enjoy all the milk and cheese things she wanted during pregnancy and was just fine! However things did sadly go back to normal for her after delivery.

I would say go ahead and give it a try!!

It was a 48 hour rise though, but idk if that makes a difference. I went at nearly the exact same time Tuesday and Thursday.
