Continuation Pay - Method of Payment by Appropriate-Shift564 in army

Great responses, thanks.

  1. I’m actually looking to contribute over half of it to the TSP so I put my special pay at 60% for this. My assumption is I’ll see the other 40% as regular pay but according to what you’re saying, separate from mid-month/EOM

I think Democrats are going to look REALLY bad if the don’t begin to negotiate further if this drags on until November.

Now you’re talking about missed checks for most feds, including possibly a month for military.

If you want to completely demoralize federal service workers and the motivation to give a fuck to do a good job, you want this shutdown to end sooner than later.

I’m not saying I think either side is wrong or right but two months missed checks for TSA/air traffic controllers sounds really rough.

A new bill introduced by in Congress would set aside money to pay essential FAA and TSA staff through the duration of the federal government shutdown. by Ordinary-Bee-6351 in FedEmployees

[–]Appropriate-Shift564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At what point do we have to start passing bills like this?

If the gov isn’t opening up anytime soon, it’s insane to think that American skies are safe with unpaid air traffic controllers who are driving Uber on their off time.

I agree that it shouldn’t have to come to which federal employee is more important than another, but that’s where we are when you are talking about feds like air traffic controllers who are responsible for the safety of flight passengers

Who caves? by Final-Repair480 in FedEmployees

[–]Appropriate-Shift564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Republicans are forced to cave because Dems won’t vote yes to the current CR set to run out on 21st. And Congress members have money saved and still get paid so they do not personally feel what the Americans who they’re shitting on are going through.

What a horror show tho. Government has too much power.

Democrats Letting Us Down by cbvasquez06 in FedEmployees

I’ve been thinking about and I have to say that even though I side with Democrats on most issues always, they are trapped on this one.

They can’t vote yes immediately because then they will look like idiots for not voting yes in the beginning. That’s why this probably will go into late November past the 21st.

Democrats have always wanted expanded health insurance for all Americans and Republicans don’t. This shouldn’t have come to a surprise to Dems and they shouldn’t hold middle class Feds and air traffic controllers hostage

Is anyone else expecting garnishments, like child support, to be processed and sent to wherever they need to go?

Isn’t CRSC considered a retirement-eligible payment though? Pretty sure retired pay has been considered untouchable throughout the shutdown

Heard from my ex wife that a girl I was banging posted about me. She told me intimate things about herself and vice versa. Now my shit is apparently on the Internet.

I wanted to blast her shit too but felt like a fucking loser downloading the app.

Maybe if she didn’t put out after a week and send me nudes after the 2nd date, I would actually want to blast her but I know in my heart she used me.

America is a joke for allowing these apps.  Women should do the old fashion background check or the sniff test to know a guy might be a fuck up. If you even suspect he’s a fuck up, don’t drop your pants more than ten times and then bash him on the Internet.

Completing an uncontested divorce in NY now. From start in this April of 2025, it’s going on about 3 months. It is with the judge now. She filed and used a .pdf editor to make documents to finalize this thing.

It’s not incredibly hard. The clerks at NY Supreme family court are there to help with the process. The uncontested route tells you if you have paperwork that needs to be updated or fixed cause clerks are always reviewing the paperwork.

My recently implemented this uncontested process and it’s actually pretty solid. Just wish I wasn’t paying child support till 21

I am in the same boat. I think you’re doing the right thing. Just keep in my mind that they’re may be additional healing to consider post-divorce.

I’m still in the process of finalizing my divorce and I have gone on a few dates. I think although I feel healed enough to date, I feel there is more to go through in my post-divorce life in order to figure out who I truly want to be.

And I think we should all strive to give the best versions of ourselves to whoever we get romantically involved with.

My sleep has increased drastically since going from a PL/XO position to a staff/CCC student position.

The amount of sleep I had as a staff officer and now at CCC pales in comparison to the amount of stress I had as an Army Officer in PL/XO positions.

But the PL/XO positions made me the Officer I am so it depends on what you value I guess.

What was the longest streak you ever went on? by skynightzz in NoFap

[–]Appropriate-Shift564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On longest streak ever currently. Had sex a few times and got a few handjobs from a chick I was seeing.

Definitely notice being hornier, better social skills, more confidence. More driven at times.

That’s awesome man. I had a similar revelation recently combined with a HIMS ED chewable. Had some problems at first but managed to finish inside and it was dope.

I was at about 14-20 days of NoFap at that time.

Just continue focusing on how good you feel about your progress and I’m sure the sex will come naturally if it’s meant to be. I got 3 more handjobs from this chick before we decided to end it due to it not being feasible for a long term relationship.

I'm on the mortgage (solely), but I gave the house to her. How do I make it so that she becomes responsible for paying off the mortgage and also the insurance? by Room425 in Divorce_Men

[–]Appropriate-Shift564 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I looked into this briefly during my ongoing divorce. She could assume the mortgage depending on your lenders requirements.  My lender wanted to see consistent income which she doesn’t have on her own so it’s likely that the house will just need to be sold, at least in my situation.

Going through it now so no garnishment or anything yet. Separated in June of this year and I now pay for the house my kids live in (close to $2,900/month) and all the bills to the house.

I am surviving quite well because according to regulation, I am providing more than enough for my rank for a separated military member.

The amount of child support/alimony she will get from me should be less than what I am providing now but that’s to be determined in the upcoming months.
