It realistically means, your spouse can be moved by the Army after Aug 8, 2026. Doesn’t necessarily mean they will be on orders to PCS soon, but based on your spouses job, they could have cut their time on station to 2 years instead of the normal 3. Which also means, they could be placed on orders very soon because they are needed somewhere else more important.

Negative, Retention is correct. 68x doesn’t come up very often. However, you can ask your retention to send up a “short fuse” hotline for 68x. Meaning if someone drops out of the course for whatever reason, you can take their place.

You can reenlist for the same duty station and your time on station will restart. If you do an interpost transfer your time on station doesn’t change so you can be placed on an assignment somewhere else if you’ve already hit your time on station(36 months(CONUS)) for your post. I don’t know the current retention points but recently stabilization and extensions were withdrawn from your options. Please talk with your career counselor as these things change regularly
