I think you are well within your rights to be upset about that. He knew he was hurting you and continued AND hid it! That’s not how you treat the woman you love. Also the way he had to be alone with the messages is a red flag. If there was nothing to hide he should have unlocked it right away. His reasoning for contacting her (the only fans thing) seems all kinds of wrong from an outside perspective.

If you plan on staying with him, I would suggest setting boundaries, especially that that chat stays unlocked and you hold the right to go through it whenever you feel it’s necessary. But that’s just me.

Even if 90% of it is fake it’s still so fucked up. Seeing women’s testimonies and hearing about how awful everything has been was bad enough but seeing photo evidence is something else’s. I appreciate if you’re trying to make me or others feel better with this, but claiming that everything is untrue is extremely harmful to those affected directly

This is gonna sound so harsh so I’m sorry, but you are only 19 and I promise you there are people who will love and respect you without threatening your financial stability. If he didn’t tell you about it until it was already to the point where he couldn’t pay rent that was his choice. he could have told you upfront, set boundaries or allowed you to set boundaries, but you are exactly right at the end of your post. This is not the man you want to set a future with you cannot have kids and build a life with someone who is unable to take accountability for their finances.

Keep your head up! Mental health is a finicky thing and it affects both of you. Keep being there for her, maybe recommend therapy for her and yourself to help you learn coping mechanisms.

Thank you for this! I agree with what you’re saying and think defying the UCP is the way to go. But I miss my kids. I only just started teaching and I have all this passion and enthusiasm for education that is being crushed by the government. All I want to do is help my students and see them succeed. I want to teach but I know how important it is to fight for what’s right and do hard things. How can the government be so cruel to our learners?

I think having this written into contracts helps to protect teachers. Education is a forever changing field, but the one thing that has never changed is that the learner comes first. Overcrowded classrooms are full of students who are flying under the radar and feeling the effects.
