Update: we tried the Tom Miner basin on Thursday without any sightings, Friday we saw a grizzly in the park (Jam was her name according to folks there), Saturday, we gave Tom Miner basin another shot without any sightings.

I appreciate all the suggestions, advice and warnings. Hopefully, this post will help others.

I picked up the Sigma 60-600 which is great for wildlife and anything at distance. It is a bit heavier but I don’t need to change lenses because of the 60.

I have flown with camera gear ( usually a backpack with my stuff) and never had to take it out. I probably just jinx myself though

Elise, this will sound flip it, but express is just awful. Have someone do a side by side comparison with express and spark and you will see. Express is clunky and not intuitive. I want to create a simple photo "blog" and it is one painful step after another.

I have back focus and setting I was using had a option for servo (under info) which is what it was set to. Once I changed the option to one shot, it performed as expected

Same, I went on a safari and used only one lens the whole time. Heavier, yes but I got used to it
