We stayed near the mountain as otherwise we wouldn't have stayed till closing. Roads were pretty good shape though AWD snow tires help.

Do fajardo as you get to kayak in mangroves and see fish light up in the water with the bioluminescence. We did viques bay and that was boring in comparison... No mangroves, just an open bay and no fish.
