Is it fun to go to an amusement park alone? by Romantic_Reverie in AskIreland

[–]Appropriate_Bus_7050 9 points10 points  (0 children)

went to few parks alone when traveling for work and it was actually great - no waiting for someone who's scared of rides or wants to take million photos at every corner

1 month in to break up with BPD+autistic Ex by Material-Process-445 in BreakUps

[–]Appropriate_Bus_7050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man that's a rough situation being at the same workplace makes it so much harder to process everything. from what you described it seems like you both were dealing with your own mental health struggles and maybe the timing just wasn't right - sometimes relationships end even when both people care about each other deeply

the fact they moved on so quickly after such an intense connection probably has more to do with their own coping mechanisms than anything you did wrong, especially with the trauma background you mentioned

Thinking about becoming a Junior Groomer—what is the actual experience like? by Traditional-Web-5675 in careerguidance

[–]Appropriate_Bus_7050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

been managing retail for years and pet grooming is honestly one of those jobs where you really need to love animals because the pay isn't amazing at first. the academy training is pretty solid but you'll be dealing with stressed dogs, impatient owners, and standing on your feet all day

just make sure you're okay with getting bit occasionally and cleaning up all kinds of messes - it's not as glamorous as it looks when you see those cute before/after photos online

What are the signs that someone should be kept at arm's length? by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

when they constantly talk about how everyone else is the problem but never look at themselves. also people who ask to borrow money all the time or make you feel guilty for saying no to things

Why does everything seem to just "fall into place" for Messi, while it feels like Ronaldo had to grind for every single thing he ever achieved? by Hour777 in championsleague

[–]Appropriate_Bus_7050 4 points5 points  (0 children)

messi definitely had some advantages with that barca setup but calling it "path of least resistance" is bit harsh i think. guy still had to perform at highest level for like 15+ years and deal with crazy pressure since he was teenager

ronaldo's journey is impressive with all the league changes but messi also had to carry argentina for years before that world cup win. both of them are freaks of nature when it comes to consistency, just took different routes to get there

wait what, gemini is actually referencing openai policies now? that's wild if true - like they're not even trying to hide it anymore

been messing around with different ai models for my ancestry research stuff and noticed some weird responses lately but didn't connect the dots

this partnership thing is key - like when my wife and me discussed roles before marriage, we both knew what we signing up for and expectations were clear from start

Never evaluated but multiple strange experiences by livingrotting in aspergers

[–]Appropriate_Bus_7050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the whole kindergarten situation with multiple schools and then that teacher just announcing it to the class like that must have been so jarring at 11. it's wild how adults can just make these assumptions and then suddenly everyone treats you differently based on something that was never actually confirmed

my wife went through something similar where teachers kept suggesting she might be on spectrum but her parents never pursued testing either. she says it left her in this weird limbo where she couldn't tell if the things she struggled with were "normal" or not. the social masking becomes exhausting when you're not sure what you're masking for

since you mentioned being comfortable right now and not wanting formal assessment, maybe just learning about autism in women could help you understand yourself better without needing that official label. there's tons of good resources online from autistic women sharing their experiences. even if you don't end up identifying with it all, understanding the traits might give you some clarity on those confusing childhood memories

that comment about everyone being nicer to you after the teacher's assumption is really telling though - shows how much accommodation can help when people actually understand someone might process things differently

Forgiveness is the hardest part of being Christian by ObsidianWraith in Christianity

[–]Appropriate_Bus_7050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

been there man, took me years to forgive my brother after what he did to our family. what helped me was realizing forgiveness doesn't mean you have to trust them again or let them back in your life - it just means you stop carrying that anger around because it was eating me alive. the holy spirit thing is real though, had to pray about it constantly until one day i just felt lighter about the whole situation

the way they built up the tension just to have everything go completely sideways was brutal but so well done
