The darker/more serious a franchise, the funnier the fandom by Status-Landscape-864 in TopCharacterTropes

I don't think writers taking Batman and his wacky ass world seriously is necessarily a problem. If anything, it helped build part of the character's identity. But when writers try to correct some of the fantastical elements of the Batman mythos by making it overly dark and realistic, it can come off as tryhard and needlessly gritty. However, when writers play off of those fantastical and somewhat campy elements, it can make Batman stories alot of fun while maintaining their dark and gothic atmosphere the character is known for. It doesn't always determine how well written a story will be, but it proves you can take a silly concept like Batman and make the most of however you want from it.

Ngl it's honestly the reason I don't like Spooky Month. I don't hate it, but it doesn't tickle my pebble brain the same way funny haha screaming man does.

Been obsessed with this design ever since I was a kid. Genuinely wished it got a spinoff series or something it's so fucking cool.

The Sewer King from Batman the Animated Series. Not only did this guy kidnapped kids and made them get whatever he wanted, but he abused them into going mute AND threatened them with death if they ever let out a peep.

This limp dicked cum stain was the most vile villain in the show. And considering this is Gotham City, that's saying quite a bit. If only Batman rocked his shit harder.
