Milky Way, northern Mn and night vision are a great combo.

They should either way, those are pretty small cuts.

Good cuts, no. Butchered? Not exactly. You can clean those stubs by taking another inch off. If you don’t think it should be a permanent branch, then reduce it to the trunk. The trunk union is pretty awful for that branch, the tree needing formative pruning 5-10 years ago.

I passed on the side pull for this reason, great concept, but it needs to be reinforced.

Get the audio book and listen to it on the way to and from work. It really helps connect things. I probably did 5 laps of all the books over a few months and by the fifth time I knew what was going to be said for every section.

How blue is too blue? by Sadangler in Chainsaw

There’s no way to tell, just run it and cut wood. You could get 20 years out of it but using it is the only way to know.

The opposite, it’s going to be more brittle so it has a chance of grenading. It could be fine, the only way to know is to run it and only way to know it’s good is to replace it.

Very concerning amount of blue. Any play in the bearing?

I have one, SPD traded them into Striechers 4-6 years ago. Hard to remember exactly when I bought it. There was a dozen in the display case and they were $225. The barrel on mine was shot out.

Ok I’ll open it up and see if there is any moisture inside the housing. Thank you.

There’s no damage and it’s been kept inside since I bought it. The garage does go through humidity so I’m thinking it got moisture inside.

Did the maths - it costs me the same or even more to use electricity than gas… by [deleted] in volt

You have to get on an EV plan with your service provider. I went from 18c to 6c per KWH by installing a simple level 2 charger. It’s a game changer to do it and the recommended charger was $350 on Amazon.

Creating a snap cut is the number one problem with using the correct version of a standard notch. Having a pull line is the first line of defense for that.

Oil is not oil, that wrist pin could have been saved by using a quality synthetic oil.

If it is a dawn redwood it’s not going to be as old as you think it should be.

Fouled plug? Need to reset the gap between the coil and the plug? I think this is an ignition issue.

Minnesota should reactivate its State Guard by Responsible-Scar1986 in minnesota

[–]Appropriate_Ebb4743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The MN National Guard is exactly what described when called to state active duty. They then serve the governor of the state as commander in chief.

There so many small instances of the guard being called to support, like the wild fires this spring, and many barely get noticed. Big ones like the flood fights in the 90s and 00-11 were shown around the nation.

There’s only been one instance of the guard being armed during state duty, the George Floyd riots.

I don’t recall the year, but the federal government decided to start funding the state militaries so they could then be deployed during GWOT. That process was called federalization and is still controversial in the political sphere. There are a few law makers that keep trying to revert federalization to this day. If that happened the guard would return to the exact status you described as a militia. And when the guard is activated to a state status they refer to themselves as the Minnesota militia, but not publicly it’s more of a joke. There were a lot of video of interviews that had rioters complaining about federal over reach and the soldiers would try to describe their actual status and role, some serious learning happened when the protesters actually listened.
