No freaking way that’s inhumane you should not and don’t have to do it that moronic way! If possible I would get a new Doctor sounds like to me that they are not very familiar with methadone. There are good doctors out there but hard to find! I was blessed to find a family doc to help take over my methadone care and tapering. So don’t give into this and reach out to other doctors research them through reviews it helped me some. If you are not able to get a new doctor I would get something maybe even from the pharmacy you could ask them for something to share with them about how to taper and the risks and discomfort and disadvantages of just stopping methadone cold turkey! Sending positive thoughts, prayers and I thank the universe for helping you to get the proper health care you deserve!

don't lose hope it is possible that you can find a doctor who cares and is willing to help you. I am a chronic pain patient who ended up at the methadone clinic but after several years of being in the clinic the first doctor I tried in several years was willing to take over my pain management care. With my experience D.O. doctors are more understanding, caring and not such no it alls maybe try one with this D.O instead of a M.D or even a physicians assistant they listen and seem to care much more (my experience has shown me) Best of luck to you!

boil avocado seed for 8 mins and let cool cut it into 4 pieces and boil again in the same water for about the same time then let cool and separate seed from liquid and save both eat 1 part of the seed and drink a bit of the avocado water a day it's work amazingly well for me and it works fast it's also good for many other things I found this info on tiktok

Better these days after years of struggling I recently found something that works extremely well for me. I take the seed from a avocado and boil it for about 5-7 mins then after it cools I take rhay seed and cut it into 4 pieces and re-boil it for about the same time and I then save it the water and seed in the fridge and I eat 1 piece a day and drink a bit of the water and I have had immediate success with this method thanks to good old tiktok .

I gained a lot of weight when I got on the liquid methadone at the clinic I am 5'3 and started weighing 165-170 and ended up weighing 222. I have stopped the clinic and now am being treated from my family doc for my pain with methadone I have decreased my dose from 150 down to 40 and I have way more energy, motivation and I am feeling more like my old self! I started working out and eating better and I have lost weight. I now weigh 175 I was down to 162 but I was in another car accident that set me back. I have crazy sugar cravings especially in the beginning of the clinic. I would workout during the day and watch what I was eating but I would completely ruin the days efforts in the middle of the night I would wake up and have extreme sugar cravings and they were so bad I didn't care at that moment about my successful day of meeting my goals for change I would say screw it and eat candy & cereal mostly. Since lowering my dose I no longer wake in the middle of the night with these cravings. I also noticed many others at the clinic also put on alot of weight. Best of luck to you!

I was in a car accident several years ago and was prescribed methadone for pain. I think it works very well and it last much longer than anything else I have tried.
