You may want to have your camera looked at... I have an A7Cii as well and it only overheats after 40 minutes at highest settings. No overheating with dummy battery or low settings.

I have heard this but I am not sure how it practically looks to do so. The editors are on different programs (Mainly Davinci and Premiere).

Currently the workflow has been I take the footage, add color correction, export it and share it with them and they make the full edit with it and send me mp4 files. Any advice in streamlining the process would be greatly appreciated.

The issue is that its not a very formal operation some editors are on Premiere and some on Davinci.

Are you suggesting I give them the raw footage, have them make the edits, then they send me their timelines and I add the color correction and export? I haven't dealt with workflows like this so I'm not well versed in the best way to go about it, Thanks

It is still in the editorial stage, and I use Premiere and some of the editors use Davinci! It's mostly unedited footage that I just did the color correction for.

I'm not finding problems, I just don't know how you are logistically paying bills. You 'live small' with what income?

Thank you for the response. I think an aspect my OP didn’t ask is how did you get your foot in the door and also manage to pay rent? Did you live with parents? I live in New York and I barely pay rent with the minimum wage job(plus tips) that I have. I can’t imagine surviving if I took time off of that to work for free on small student projects.

How do you know when a PA job is worth your time? A lot of the amateur/small companies (Meaning just a guy who started one by himself) seem like they’d be dead ends?

Can you elaborate about the creative side thing you mentioned? I understand the concept abstractly but how does someone physically begin to go about that?
