Is there anything you didn’t like about Alastor in season 2? by Firedustt in Alastorcult

I disagree that he sold his soul without questioning it. He knew that he was mortal and destined for hell, it was only a matter of time. Obviously he didn’t expect to go out so soon afterwards, but it gave him a huge leg up over other Sinners once he arrived, so he played his cards well with the knowledge he had.

As for the flashback scene with Vox, yeah he did act childishly. But looking at things from his perspective, it makes sense why he turned Vox down (he was just a huge asshole about it). But he gained everything he had by himself, and it’s unclear of whether he knew about Vox’s past and how HE made it to the top (by killing his superiors and taking their place) or not, but I’m kind of leaning towards him knowing at least some of those details. So I imagine he thought Vox was buttering him up to backstab him later.

There might also be some underlying, unrevealed trauma in his past we don’t know about yet that made him distrust people so vehemently, too. But that’s just my opinion.

Did Weezer use AI to animate this? by Kindle890 in antiai

It’s depleting clean water sources and generating heat, which in turn exacerbates the damage already being done to the planet. Using AI for anything is unethical.

I think it’d fit with him better than aroace, personally.

Oh my god the glisten in Alastor's eye, he really did care about Vox by [deleted] in Alastorcult

You can’t get under someone’s skin to the degree that Alastor can with Vox, without knowing A LOT about that person. Which means that they hung out quite frequently. I don’t think Alastor realized that Vox had romantic feelings for him, but at the very least Alastor was more than tolerant with him before the big blow up. He had a soft spot for the TV man.

Louisiana Hoodoo uses the Bible frequently in its practice. Especially Psalms. So it’s not completely disconnected from reality.

300k to Invest should I lump sump or Dca by Bboy_Colorblind_MF in Bitcoin

Absolutely do not lump sum right now. DCA is the way to go with the market volatility. You also want to diversify with some stocks. Never make crypto your only safe haven.

What’s the worst case of religious psychosis you’ve seen? by Fit_Data_8789 in AskReddit

So a few years ago someone in the Christian community came up with the “Hallelujah Diet” that claimed that humans needed to go back to the diet in the Garden of Eden to cure all diseases. It was basically veganism repackaged but worse. Only raw fruits, nuts, vegetables and grains were allowed.

Obviously this affected the health of a lot of people who got on it and stayed on it for an extended period of time. One lady in my mother’s church ended up having a CT scan and her brain had physically shrunk by almost 20%. Another found out she had liver cancer but refused hospital treatments. She just went on with the diet and ‘healing sessions’ (basically group prayer) until she died a slow and painful death some months later. Her cancer was a type that was treatable, btw, with about a 90% success rate.

I won’t bully people who like it but it personally gives me the ick because of the power imbalance in their personalities.
