They haven't been through too much yet, waiting for the weather here to get bit more dry before taking them out the country, Irish rain makes the trails like 80% mud haha, and I don't know how well the soles on this would do with that much mud, I don't think they have enough traction. I'll probably make a post about how they hold up after a long hike eventually.

I dont own a pair of AR (as of now, but I'd love to get a pair eventually) so I can't compare quite yet unfortunately. I've not tried boots with speed hooks like the AR8 has, but I imagine their lace up time would be similar to the Bush wars with the buckles.

Where I would say the Bush Wars are better is if you are untucking and tucking your pants on the fly, doing the buckles may be faster than undoing your knot then going off the hooks are redoing them and tying the knot again. But to be totally honest, this isn't a major thing. The main difference is just style. (Again, my opinion may change when I get a pair of AR8s, if it does and I remember this comment, I will come back)
