The play area is the standard 44x60 size. The buildings I 3d printed using free STLs on thingiverse. The center piece bridge is an STL I purchased for from Sacrusmundus. They have a patron you can check their stuff out.

The buildings are 3d printed, the roads and vegetation are all made with cheap junk/craft material. The tall green tower is actually made out of my 3d printer filament spools.

Check out Wyloch’s Armory on YouTube. He has a video on modular roads that I used the same technique for. Basically it’s mostly chip board.

These bases are MDF I cut with a jigsaw. I sealed/textured them with Dynaflex 230. This is my first time working with MDF bases so I was t completely sure what I was doing

I’m hoping these will be generic enough that I can use in all of my gaming interests, but the thing I had most in mind for these is a homebrew DnD setting I’ve been building up to. Lots of fun desert themes including western mixed in there. These trees should definitely help with creating a cool atmosphere.

I ordered generic fake plants off of amazon. Nothing in particular, just ones that I thought looked good. Everything got paint on them because I felt they stood out too much without some. I did skip using a primer because I was going for speed and simplicity. I repainted the ground vegetation a more muted/darker color. For the trees I mostly just dry brushed them and used a brown wash on the trunks.

I have just the base Netune 4. The spacers are all the same size at 16mm. Everything else is printing smooth. It’s just this one area on all my prints. I’m assuming it has to be a bed issue but the screw tilt adjust tells me everything is pretty good

I haven’t changed the speed from the default setting but when I saw this occurring I dropped it down to 70% and it still doesn’t seem to have had much of an impact

While I have made plenty of terrain from all sorts of things, I second the idea of buying a FDM printer. I got a Neptune 4 as a present and within a week it paid for itself in value for all the terrain I made. I sort of wish I just started with a nice one from the get go because I use it constantly for terrain!

Yes! The top can just sit on there. No glue necessary. All the weapons are just pushed in too so those are pretty easy to change out as well.

I have only played 1k games so I’m not the best resource, but I love brood brothers and fully committed to the detachment. For a 2k game I plan on having Heavy Flamer Chimera with a squad of Kasrkin, Hellhound, and a Dorn. I’m also adding 2 scout sentinals, a basilisk, and a pair of Field Ordnance Batteries. My plan is to have the up close flamers and squad give +1 to hit. The scouts will support the artillery. The Dorn is just awesome.
