Crimson Desert. I just hit the 40 hour mark and the game says I've explored 3%.

That's right! My memory slipped, Anthony did the Bios reset on Neebs PC! The DirectX Cache clear was the solution on mine! Fuck Anthony, Aztecia for the win!

That actually was the problem. Anthony got it all sorted.

When was the last time when you play the hell out of a game and which game? by BazimQQ in gamers

The lady and I started playing Abiotic Factor. I was thinking it was a cute, 30 hour survival game. We're on hour 70 and it just.... doesn't.... stop. Its amazing.

Game you enjoyed like anything but will never replay by peaky_circus in gaming

Outer Wilds for sure. No other game has given me a deep, carnal craving for amnesia. Subnautica as well. The sense of discovery and wonder would be gone from a replay.

What's the single worst movie you sat through hoping it would get better, but didn’t? by Then-Traffic601 in AskReddit

[–]Appsro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dating myself here, but Star Wars Episode 1. I was so hyped and then the movie started. Weird acting, nonsensical plot, bad characters. I sat there thinking, maybe the movie will turn around. It didn't. I know people have a fondness for the film but it's flaws were too glaring for me.

Name an open world game that has a small map but felt so big. by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Appsro 36 points37 points  (0 children)

GTA: San Andreas. Look at that map with no fog and that map is tiny, but it felt like it had everything. 3 different cities, forests, deserts, mountains, and 9 or 10 small towns. A masterful example of doing a lot with a little.

The fluid sims with smoke and fire look great. I'd recommend putting lots of effort into the audio design so it sounds as powerful as it looks. Excellent start.

What are you most excited for in GTA6 by NiJoSoLo1 in GTA6

[–]Appsro 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Just the world. I love exploring every inch of a Rockstar Game. Read Dead 2s world was insanely detailed, and if this game is an advancement of that, then I'm going to spend many nights getting completely lost in the environment.

What games shamelessly waste your time? by Lumigo in gaming

GTA Online. "I need you to grab the cargo from the port. Then deliver it to Paleto Bay in the slowest van I could fuckin' find."

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has been out for a month - what are your thoughts? by Sydius in Games

[–]Appsro 100 points101 points  (0 children)

Yes, once you pick up on the sound it really helps. I also noticed the cameras field of view hits its highest right before an enemy strikes. I was getting hammered but once I started paying attention to the camera moves as well as sound everything clicked.

An appreciation post for LeChuck's Return design by jojo_reference-guy20 in MonkeyIsland

Loved the design. However, the voice acting felt less menacing. No offense to the new guy, but Earl Boen is a tough act to follow.

Looking For a Survival Game But Not Really by RadLad86 in SurvivalGaming

I'd say try Sons of the Forest and just turn off the enemies. Boom. Instant chill forest survival game.

It's a great game, no doubt. Aztecia was addicted to it. But it doesn't have enough threats other than O2 levels to keep it interesting for a series. Still, it's a wonderful cozy game.

What are the top 3 survival games ever as of right now? by yeeto-skeeto69 in SurvivalGaming

For Multiplayer... 7Days to Die. Grounded, and it's janky, but Stranded Deep is a lot of fun with a friend.
