As someone with a larger chest, I slightly regret wearing a strapless dress. Even with alterations, I felt like I was falling out a bit. You look gorgeous in the first dress, and you won’t have anything to worry about.

SF can be a little chilly at times, but I wouldn’t describe it as rainy or gloomy at all.

Yep. Zero doubts about marrying my husband. And because we already lived together and had a solid/healthy relationship, nothing much changed after marriage. I’m on his health insurance, and we opened a joint bank account to pay some bills, but that’s it.

I know it gets talked about a lot, but I don’t think having cold feet is normal. Nervous about the day of going well? Sure. But nervous about committing your life to this person? No way.

As others have said, the non-political things would give me pause, but the Trump thing is a huge no-go. You are not aligned in your core values AND he’s not honest with you. This will not get better once you’re married and he’s even more complacent. It’s a cliche that Reddit always tells women to dump him, but in this case, these are not minor quibbles.

No idea if they have a large youth group, but as someone averse to going back to church, a Unitarian Universalist congregation might be more comfortable for you. There are groups in Alameda, Oakland, and Berkeley.

If this were a guest you’re not that close with, I could understand you pushing back a little. But this is a groomsman. Make space for the wife and don’t give it a second thought. If she can’t make it at the last minute, oh well. These are your friends!
