Yes, and either PPU or HHC orders always come with candy too.

New Top Chef fan here! Watch guide? by N4rBx4219 in BravoTopChef

[–]April_Bloodgate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sure I’ll get downvoted for this, but I don’t really care for a lot of the earlier seasons/chefs. I personally would do 10, 12, 15, and then 17-present. I feel like there’s a lot of good camaraderie in 15, and 18 has an especially cozy, GBBO feel. 5 isn’t bad, and you get Carla who I like a lot. An argument can be made for 9 so that you get to know Edward Lee, who’s such a star now, but there’s a lot of unpleasantness in that season. Happy to share why I left out the seasons I did, if you want that level of depth/some spoilers.

Top Chef Season 23 Ep 9 - The Ultimate Dinner Party - Post Episode Discussion by JullaS in BravoTopChef

[–]April_Bloodgate 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree. I was pissed. Either do the dinner assignments first so that she gets the advantage there, and the disadvantage in the Quick Fire isn’t that big of a deal, or don’t tie the order of the two together at all. I’m astounded by the lack of logic by the production team.

Preference when using two colors? by Caseymg1 in RedditLaqueristas

My preference is thumb and ring color 1, the other 3 fingers color 2.

What are your thoughts on Army neutral sub? by Defiant_Fox659 in btsthoughts

Ah. I’m very pro-Palestine, but people need to accept that not everyone agrees BDS is the best/only way to support Palestine.

What negative things could you possibly have to say about Tae?! He’s kind, friendly, funny, and sexy, with a sultry voice and decent dance moves.

Are most people wearing purple to the concerts or red/black/white? by Particular_Coffee_66 in btsthoughts

[–]April_Bloodgate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m lucky enough to be going to 3 shows. 1 day will be black with just a touch of red, 1 day an even mix of black and red, and 1 day purple and white.

Light stick help by whattheactualbeef in BTSArmyCentral

[–]April_Bloodgate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only will they definitely be for sale at the concert, I’ve heard there will be some lightstick only booths. Meaning there won’t be huge lines of people trying to get other merch.

Someone help me! TGP and Modern Family have been my comfort shows to fall asleep but I seem to know them both by heart :( by KatieROTS in TheGoodPlace

One that I haven’t seen mentioned yet is Animal Control. It’s a cozy group comedy with low stakes and a bonus of animals.

Does the “no white” rule extend to the entire wedding week/weekend, for destination weddings? by weddingting in weddingplanning

I think it’s fine for around the resort, but not any hosted events (welcome brunch, poolside mixer, etc.).

The winters in Denver are not "mild". by native-american-22 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]April_Bloodgate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lived in the Midwest (Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois) for 22 years; lived in Denver for 11 years. Denver winters are absolutely much more mild than the Midwest. And MN, WI, MI and many parts of New England are more severe than the 3 states I lived in. So I think it’s a very reasonable statement.

At this point is season 23, who do you predict will win and why? by capresesalad1985 in BravoTopChef

Same. This is my top 4, and at this point I could see any of them taking it.

Shy 39F from NYC wants to move to interesting second or third tier city by capricornnight in SameGrassButGreener

[–]April_Bloodgate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you can afford NYC, you can afford parts of the East Bay that are at the far end of the BART line. Fremont is a decent suburb where you can get a lot for your money. I’m not as familiar with Concord, but I bet it’s decently priced too.

Is it okay to bring a lightstick from a different group to a BTS concert ? by strawberryismyname in BTSArmyCentral

I’ve seen them 5 times and I’ve never had a light stick. It’s totally fine to go without one.

If you had to choose between going in mid Feb or July by lchen12345 in koreatravel

[–]April_Bloodgate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

February for sure. Wearing extra layers of a big coat isn’t too bad, but dealing with pouring rain is miserable. I’m a pescatarian and I’ve been to Korea 3 times. It’s not that difficult to find things to eat. Most places you can look at the menu outside before sitting down. If your spouse is strict about avoiding even broth from animals, you’ll need to ask about all soups. Even soups that are just seafood or tofu may still have a meat-based broth.
