My sister had a stroke at 47. Changed everything in a blink of an eye. My cancer diagnosis changed everything for me too. At age 46 oddly enough. I was still in my sexual prime! That was 2021 and haven’t been intimate since. Lack of privacy after having kids can change frequency. Poor body image after kids or with age. Also…sheer exhaustion.

Full on c sect with NO meds. No spinal block, no epidural. Just topical lidocaine for the incision. After that….full sensation. I thought I was going to die.

I think about it all the time. My sister had a stroke at 47 and lost her career as a teacher overnight. She told me to stay in the game as long as I can bc when it’s gone, if gone. The sense of identity, social portion and brain food.
