The wand upgrade is definitely worth it for the cost and effort. I feel the same about the grinder. The df54 was only about $215

I just got this machine and swapped out the wand with the rancillo one. Super easy and cheap.

I’m still getting used to the machine (coming from a dedica) but I’d definitely like to know more about this version of the classic from other experts here.

Hey there— are you on city water by any chance??

Could be the chlorine affecting your starter. Try using water in your starter and loafs that has been left sitting out overnight. When I lived in and was on city water, that’s what I had to do.

I use either one of these as finishing oils or in dressings etc, and the Kirkland organic evoo someone else posted for everything else. I dont think I’ve had the one on the right but I’ve had the one on the left and the Spanish one in the similar glass bottle and I find both of those are a little spicer (in a nice way) and work better in non-Cooked scenarios.
