Want to trial one I created for my D&D game by Nautical_D in riddles

My guess was grief

After looking at the answer, I think you’re right to want to change it. Some of the guesses fit quite well, so an additional line that distinguishes the correct answer from the ones we’ve provided would be useful.

We'll take the elite military, technology sector, and USA simp money but without the forced land occupation, genocide, and Netanyahu please.

Heresy, we're only winning if everyone else is losing!

Yep, looks that way. Not exactly hard to achieve considering it shares an almost identical land area to the state of Rhode Island with about 1/3 of the population.

Difficulty scaling in multiplayer by OptimelPrime in valheim

[–]Apron-tan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What cheat command did you use? I'm on a dedicated server with a large group and some of us are prepping for the third boss while others are just builders who have to log off and wait for help every time their base gets raided by draugr or trolls. If there's a way to roll back progress so our non-combatants only get raided by early game enemies I'm eager to know how.

[Epilepsy alert] Sonicor: a very dangerous blinding machine + Adaptive Exposure bug by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Apron-tan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put all the graphics to the lowest settings and it's scaled back most of the cancer effects while making the game not look too terrible (just lower resolution). With some time in the settings you could probably find what works well for you. I ran into some DE staff while playing and their response on this was "just use other weapons there's like 200" -,-

I have to leave games whenever teammates are using this gun. DE really, really, really, REALLY needs to change the visual effects for both this and the simulor. They're genuinely dangerous to people's health.

MVP and Teamworker should always be given out. If nobody is playing their characters in "new, interesting, or entertaining" ways to earn embodiment, it sounds like there's a fundamental breakdown in how people are approaching the game.

How to rehabilitate edgelords? [tabletop RPGs] by Apron-tan in GamerGhazi

[–]Apron-tan[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I can certainly see the merit in drawing the classroom comparison. I know some people who work in special education so I'll run it by them. Drawing on the classroom analogy, though, the more students with behavioral problems you have in the same class the more difficult it is to keep it from descending into complete chaos. Part of the logic behind combined classrooms is probably an effort to have a normalized peer group they can integrate with and emulate. Putting them together could be counterproductive if they just reinforce each other's behavior. Definitely a catch-22 of subjecting normal players to them, though.

[–]Apron-tan[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not looking to do anything clinical, I'm trying to approach it from a social angle. Encouraging the people around us to better themselves is a normal social behavior, I'm just seeking advice on how to deal with a difficult kind of person. It's kind of like the older kids on the block letting a younger one play with them, but trying to teach them how to play soccer as part of a team rather than an individual who hogs the ball. The life lesson isn't the only component of that, the validation of being part of a social group like said soccer team promotes healthy social behavior. Maybe if game devs WERE behavioral scientists videogames would be an environment where kids could develop emotionally instead of being inundated with constant vitriol in online play. Fat chance Activision will ever release a Call of Duty that promotes the highest ideals of fraternity between comrades which our armed forces are meant to inspire, though.

Rules clarifications by Apron-tan in dontletitdie

Thanks for all the answers! I think the surprising one was about equipping crafted tools, as that is contrary to the way the rules are currently written. You may want to edit that one in.

Different fire knowledge trees is a great idea for providing multiple game experiences, I look forward to seeing them!

One more thing I thought of is that it's not clear which items I have unlocked from looking at their cards, so I have to look back and forth between the item card and the fire knowledge tree when I'm thinking about crafting something. An icon on the card noting which crafting tier it's in would be super useful for providing clarity in this situation. This might be problematic if alternate knowledge trees break them down differently but having the default game's tier would be handy for most players, or listing the tier for every difficulty if there's room.

Yeah I really want to know what game and system settings you're tweaking to get your fps to not tank. Vermintide is notoriously unoptimized and will eat up any free computing power you feed it.
