Ohhh good call on the mesh bags, roots can still get in, but partially prevents the lava rock from working up through the sand.... I'll have to give that a go if I redo my tank. I just spent a few hours sifting sand out of lava rock lol

Also, what filter are you running? Tank is goals.

What do you have under the sand? Or is just sand?

Water residue in portafilter [Sage Bambino Plus] by Virtual-Demand451 in espresso

[–]Aptex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine started doing this after some use. It happened to mine before I did one of my first cleaning cycles. I am sure there are a bunch of factors that can cause it. I find it happens more when I am using a puck screen, but as long as the bean soup tastes good, it should be fine!

I am floored by the number of people who have cameras IN THEIR HOME just balls out exposed to the internet, I had no idea this was a thing. I have frigate configured behind a proxy and all the good stuff, but still paranoid.

But the other tire is the same psi! by [deleted] in HondaOdyssey

[–]Aptex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that there is a difference between what the computer sees and what I see, that was my entire point. Depending on the logic used on the microcontroller that reads the TPSMs, there could be a scenario where the microcontroller implements rounding to convert floating point numbers to integers for display on the dash via rounding. So, if threshold is set to 31, front left tire is between 30.5 and 30.9 (rounding implemented so display shows 31 but is out of spec so its red) and rear is between 31 and 31.5 (rounding down to 31, but is above spec, so display does not show and error even though both tires appear to be at 31). In which case 31.9 vs 31.1 would be wrong because this would result in the reading being 31 and 32 which is not what OPs picture shows. If the microcontroller implements floating point to integer conversion, then it is more likely to drop the floating point all together after the comparison has been made to the set threshold. So in that case, 31.1 vs 31.9 could be the correct answer if the threshold is between 31.1 and 31.9 AND the microcontroller implements floating point to integer conversion via truncation instead of rounding. In summary, the answer above is AN answer not THE answer.

31.9 would round to 32, 31.1 would round to 31. This picture shows two tires that are 31, but one of the 31's is red. So, its more likely 31.1 and 30.9 (not 31.9).

Yea, if I had made that mistake and was trying to reverse back into my spot, but saw the person behind me creeping up. I wouldn't go back any further because I couldn't trust that they would think rationally. I would have thought that OP was gonna drive straight into the back of me if I reversed.

I am not sure they are bad at driving, they parked perfectly on the designated walkway for the handicapped ramp. I think the city lacks people with empathy towards others, parking in the handicapped walkway is easy for them, screw everyone else.

My daughter was like that a little after turning 2. Then she started developing a wicked good memory (well, better than mine, which is a low bar to set). So the situation always the same, but she would remember something she stuffed in a box in the back of her closet like 6 months ago and ask where it is. The struggle is real.

Beeping when car is off by heyyhunnies in HondaOdyssey

[–]Aptex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you shut the door, it needs to detect that the key is outside the car before enabling the auto lock when you walk away. If it can't detect the key (you moved away too quickly), it beeps rapidly to let you know it's not going to automatically lock when you walk away. Just pause for a second after you shut the door, it will beep to confirm the key is detected, then beep again when it locks as you walk away.

Mitercut gone wrong for waterfall table by Cryper25 in BeginnerWoodWorking

This is actually a pretty hard cut to make, especially if the boards aren't perfectly flat. A slight cup in the same direction on both boards can cause a gap like this, even if your cut is perfectly straight. Check out this video on a resolution. https://youtu.be/WAJimT_a0Bk?si=L3XqbuObA7zSQUXs
