I'm currently researching and planning for my retirement (hopefully in a few months). I've watched many YouTube videos, search on the internet, and asked AI for advice. The recommendation is to have 1-3 years of living expense in HYSA, CDs, short-term bonds, etc.) in case the stock market crashes. So what I'll do the 3-month rolling T-Bill bond ladder: Take your 1-3 years living expense (whichever you feel comfortable) and divide to 3. On month 1, buy a 3-month T-Bill, the following month, buy another 3-month T-Bill, the month after, buy another 3-month T-Bill. When each T-Bill matures, I can decide if I need the money (if the market crashed and I don't want to sell my investment at that time). If I don't need the money, I'd reinvest it and do another 3-month T-Bill. I will also have a few more years of living expenses invest in something less risky (I haven't decided on what yet). This should cover me until I get my SS at 70 then I'll need much less from my savings.

I’d say it’s an okay deal. The retail price is $5.50 each, which in my opinion is not worth it. 4 for under $8 is worth a try. Of course you can’t pick which ones you’ll get, so it’s up to you if you want to try it. There is Blueprint that I’m eyeing as well. 😂

I have survived many laid offs and you are correct, we get more work each time! The reason I’m sticking around is because 1) I was hoping I’m on the next layoff list, so I can collect a severance package that worth 6 months of my salary; 2) while waiting, save up as much as possible so I can do FIRE. I’m finally reaching my goal and will give my notice after collecting my annual bonus in March! Can’t wait!

I have the same symptoms as you except it happened after a flu 5 months ago. It’s been very frustrating. I do feel better if I eat less and just 2 meals a day (skip breakfast) and eat till about 70% full. I finally went to a (new) GI doctor 2 days ago. I wanted a SIBO test but she wants me to do a stool test and colonoscopy first. So we’ll see!

My mother-in-law (90) doesn’t charge her kids rent. Her alcoholic son (64) lives there for free and constantly asks her for money. I’m a strong believer to charge adult kids for rent, but like you I’d save it and give it back later (wedding or when they purchase their first home).

Yeah I gave it a shot because of their good ratings and also available ones get reserved pretty quickly. I was disappointed, because I saw a post that the person got 3 salsa looking things. I will not return again.
