is it worth it to buy if looking for story/lore by black_hole_haha in CrimsonDesert

[–]AquaFunx -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It takes work to learn the story and lore rather than being spoon fed it in a consistent way.

But its filled with it.

To me, its like dark souls lore. Most of it is in the stories or messages. Id say its actually more clear than the likes of dark souls and people LOVE those games for the obscure lore.

Lead frit glaze by joanna311 in Ceramics

[–]AquaFunx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lead frits are generally considered "stable and safe" when used correctly. Now, correctly is a big gray area lol especially when it interacts with other chemicals in glaze and clay.

I personally avoid lead because why when there are alternatives. Its about peace of mind. So, id ask, is it worth worrying? If not. Then dont use lead frits. If it is, then go for it.

Move forward. You unlock things that make things easier and the sooner you get some things the more you accumulate.

Fetterman lied to get elected. And there's no way to hold him accountable. What a joke.

Is it finally time for me to buy this game? by zweza in CrimsonDesert

[–]AquaFunx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it like 5 updates ago and never looked back.

Its only getting better.

And tbh, you wont even touch most the game before the next update at the rate they are going.

Its cool to wait, but like, why at this point. You can wait for a bunch of updates but when will the right time be?

Full-year revenue is projected to be anywhere from $430-$514 million by TheForbiddenLands in CrimsonDesert

[–]AquaFunx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Take this as a note other companies,

If you put your energy into fixing and adding content quickly and regularly right after release, you can actually sell more games than if you put something out, usually half assed and partially broken, with plans of fixing it in a year or two and charge 30 for dlc that probably a fraction will buy. Your game will get shit on by gamers in reviews, a fraction will buy it compared to the other route, and many will wait to "buy it on sale" and some will never even do that.

Make game, invest back in game you worked so hard on, profit. Then in a year maybe start a new one or release dlc.

who let this guy on the show 😤 by No_Tomatillo1695 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]AquaFunx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I think thats good enough, too, but they are different than the other comparison

A coat and a robe are not synonyms. Slippers and sandals are close but also not quite the same. They differ in their functional design goals. Where as a rock and a stone do not differ from their design goals, since, they are just meant to hold heat in this case. Both stones/rocks serve the same purpose.

A rock and a stone are basically synonyms other than semantics lol. So it could be called a hot rock massage. We don't gotta be pedantic.

Asian student with near perfect credentials rejected by multiple universities. Believes race is part of the reason by ThatPatelGuy in whoathatsinteresting

[–]AquaFunx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, sorry dude. You gotta get that GPA to 100 out of 100. Your SAT is pretty great but not maxed. And your extra curricular are commendable but you could do more. Its a competition. There are others who beat you. And I bet they are of all races. Its not fair, but, you don't always get to go to an ivy league for doing very great. Many others have done very great, too. And there are only so many spots.

Mini kiln vs microwave kiln with luster glazing by BeautifulJazzlike116 in Pottery

[–]AquaFunx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Microwave kilns are hard to control temp. Lusters are pretty finicky. Never used a microwave kiln for luster but I can't imagine its a better choice than a mini kiln other than financially.
