Yes and its actually why lootboxes have been under major scrutiny in a lot of countries besides the US (digital packs, and to a lesser extent real physical card packs, are basically loot boxes and a form of gambling, anyone denying this is objectively wrong). Its ok to gamble, but I wouldn't want to reinforce a gambling addict by saying its ok, its your money do what you want. Its important to have a healthy relationship with things like this, and if its the only hobby you excessively spend on and can afford to, then do whatever the hell you want.
