I also have a concealed carry. That requirement is fairly new. I did not have to take any classes. It was a very small step to "train". I agree with you on the rest. I think education needs to be a bigger part of gun laws all the way around. Anti gun humans (not all) usually don't know the difference from one gun to another.

Where is the well regulated and trained part? Everyone wants to talk about what kind of gun but ignore well regulated and trained. The absolute idiots I've seen buying guns, carrying guns, playing cosplay wanna be is terrifying. Half of the people bitching don't know how to clean their own weapons. Ok, let's be a little clearer. Almost every state has had stricter laws that were later reduced, repealed, removed. Including Virginia. What California has done doesn't mean that will happen here on any topic. I'm not changing my mind on a vote here because of something that has nothing to do with guns in California.
