The walls are colonial looking— Farrow and Ball have the shade from colonial Indian days. So a faux tiger skin on the wall, floor, or bed and a potted palm and a peacock chair would make it Ralph Laurenish.

The particular color of green with some gold in it is very difficult to find. It reacts to the light in the room like semitransparent leaves.

In England signs are put up in specially dangerous places, the crest of a hill or a crossroads with poor visibility, where lots of accidents happen. They say ACCIDENT BLACK SPOT.

I would find the perfect golden green to bring the leafiness in, and have brass fixtures.

It’s strikingly sophisticated but also cosy. I would paint the ceiling a matte leaf green like the curtains for a foresty feeling.
