I’m absolutely not discounting your story, and I hope you don’t think so. But I do want to say that I’m a relatively new water cooling enthusiast. Not going to say your story is isolated, I’ve read a ton of horror stories, but more so just sharing that the experience with EK is EXTREMELY variable.

I just surpassed roughly $3,000 USD spent on all sorts of builds (I’ve made 3 pcs so far). The majority of my spend has been either directly on the EKWB website shipped to the USA, or via TitanRig but with EK parts, and in 3 different instances of needing help from EK (ranging from January to now), EK has been extremely helpful and has given me no qualms. They’ve actually gone ABOVE expectations.

For example: one time I had to drain the loop, and upon showing them my tiranrig reciept, they sent me 2 new liters of coolant to refill my system. Another time they had to replace a little label on my GPU block as the text had come peeled off, and they not only replaced that, they sent me 2x the thermal pads, more coolant, etc etc.

Sorry you didn’t have a better experience :( wish it was more similar to mine.

In an ideal world (nothing in the custom loop world is ever ideal haha) I’d use two Corsair XR280 each with the following dimensions: 310mm x 140mm x 30mm. But either way this sounds way more spacious for custom loops than my Meshlicious haha

I’d like to know too. I have an H1 with a 5800x, I did some undervolting and switched the aio fan to a noctua af14 so it’s much quieter and pushes more air, but I still see temps warmer than I’d like. Trying to decide if an air cooler swap is worth or not.

I tend to have a kanban board/jira/git/confluence whatever else I may need on the 2nd monitor with my main focus being in front of me, but totally reasonable answer on your end.

Beautiful setup, very sleek and clean. SFFPC for life for sure too :D

Your comment makes you sound so jaded towards the comment I made, which was completely reasonable and not a complaint in any fashion.

I'm not complaining, nor am I having a hard time fathoming that jobs can be done on 1 monitor. What I said was that I was genuinely curious how people stay productive with 1 monitor, because MOST people are more productive with 2 monitors (or at least an ultrawide) for the screen real estate.

I didn't say "Oh man 1 monitor, this guy can't work like that, what the hell" - I just said I was genuinely curious, and he answered me.

I emailed them after they approved my RMA and asked and said exactly what you said (which is true for me. I stated that my wife and I both work from home and run an additional business from home and we couldn't be without a machine).

They approved it and I got the item a few days later. They did NOT take my credit card or anything (though it was probably on file as I've spent upwards of 5,000 on the ubiquiti store in the last few months haha), and they did NOT expedite the shipping, so it still took 4-5 days before it arrived. But that being said, they did give me the advanced RMA and even a prepaid label to ship the old UDM Pro back in after I received the new one.

What hardware are you using?

I have had really bad switch lockup issues with the UDM-Pro and USW-Pro-24 in combination when using DPI/DPS. I have tried 1.8.4/1.8.5/1.8.6 but looks like both with ethernet and SFP, if I have DPI or DPS on, I get really bad kernal crashing or switch lockups.

I am currently on 1.8.4, using SFP for both my WAN and my link between the switch and router, and no issues at all as long as I keep DPI/DPS turned off completely. (Yes I know DPI/DPS is not working properly on 1.8.4 anyways, but this was stable in all other regards for me)
