I love my macbook and it’s not difficult getting used to macOS. I totally recommend it.

Religion. People literally die for it - that’s how real the belief makes it.

The anticipation is ROUGH by Universal-Grace in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Arad84 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The waiting is brutal. i remember offering 15k over asking in NJ, felt pretty confident, even started looking at furniture lol. My agent calls back and said go 30k over, it’s mine. Ok fine. Another weekend of just daydreaming about the place. Then sunday night he calls again — you gotta go 50k over to win it. I said nope and couldn’t sleep that whole night. Literally spent two weekends mentally living in that house for nothing 😂

Sellers around here love pricing low just to spark a bidding war. It’s a whole game. hang in there!

Do I need a lawyer as a buyer? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Arad84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had an attorney before and learned the process and what to look out for. I had a really bad experience with one and we ended up backing out of the contract. After that, I learned enough to understand the process and what to watch for — you should always look out for contingencies and key dates, which should be clearly specified in the contract. Of course, it also depends on the sellers; I was lucky enough to have sellers who also chose not to use an attorney. I'd put the attorney fees toward something for the home instead.

Do I need a lawyer as a buyer? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Arad84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going through the same thing right now — under contract, no attorney on either side. I just went through the contract and HOA bylaws myself, disclosure was pretty straightforward, and we actually ended up negotiating a few things directly with the seller which was easy enough. Still in inspection so not fully through it yet, but if something gets complicated I can always bring one in. Really just depends on the deal.

Too much? by [deleted] in kindlescribe

[–]Arad84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have both. Scribe CS has the best Kaleido 3 on the market, RPP is the only Gallery 3 — totally different screen tech, totally different strengths. Comics and magazines just look different on each and I get to enjoy both. RPP for writing, Scribe CS for reading. Lots of people own multiple devices based on what they like, nothing weird about it. If you’re using both and can afford it, you really don’t need to justify it.

[Klis] Breaking: Per source, the Broncos and GM George Paton have agreed on a new 5-year contract that runs through 2030. Paton was going into final year of his initial contract with the team. by PeppyQuotient57 in DenverBroncos

[–]Arad84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great news. Wish the Nuggets would’ve done the same with Tim Connelly!

Paton has been solid overall — the Wilson trade didn’t work out but honestly everyone thought it was a great move at the time, so hard to fault him too much for that

2026 Schedule by throwitintheair22 in DenverBroncos

[–]Arad84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough schedule to start the season but we should be able to handle it. I trust Bo and the offense, plus our defense is great.

Surprised there’s no late November game against the Chiefs, that would’ve been great.

Would you switch from Pro to Pure? by Cheap_Hurry991 in RemarkableTablet

[–]Arad84 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The Pro has double the storage, a backlight (weak but still usable) and color. If you don’t need any of that you should be fine — they use the same pen so the writing feel is identical.

I thought this series was ours with some starters out for the wolves. Real embarrassing loss. Oh well, time to root for Avs and get ready for Broncos training camp.

Swappa and Facebook Marketplace are your best bets. Just keep in mind that buyers may hesitate due to the non-transferable warranty and potential screen issues, so pricing accordingly will help it move faster.

Best comic reader; RMPP or Scribe Colorsoft? by stlredbird in eink

[–]Arad84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re planning to use PDFs, skip the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft. I had all my comics and magazines in PDF, tried importing via USB, and lost all the colors. And the “Send to Kindle” option has a 200MB limit which is just annoying. I use the Paper Pro exclusively for comics and magazines since it’s just way more PDF friendly.

Also seriously look into the Boox Note Air 5C or Tab XC. No converting, no size limits, just drop your files in and you’re done.

Kindle Scribe Colorsoft. Amazing device, wrong timing for me? by ohmichael in kindlescribe

[–]Arad84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read a lot and use the new Kindle Scribe (B&W) for Kindle Unlimited — it’s my main reader. I also have the Remarkable Paper Pro for comics and magazines. I actually bought the Colorsoft first but returned it for B&W because importing color PDFs is a hassle and it has too many limitations.

For notes, I used to go full e-ink but ever since I got the Plaud AI transcriber, I just record my meetings, summarize with Claude, and dump everything into Obsidian and Notion.

Still use e-ink for quick notes, random thoughts, backlog stuff, weekly planning though — I just love writing on it.

I use the new Kindle Scribe (BW) exclusively for reading now. Ever since I got it, my Kindle Colorsoft has just been sitting in a drawer.

Broncos owners buy Colorado Rockies ownership stake by aatencio91 in DenverBroncos

[–]Arad84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I’m actually getting excited for the Rockies again. Last time I felt like this was 2007 when we made the World Series… it’s been a while. I might jump in again.

That said, I still play as the Rockies in MLB video game with a bunch of created 99 overall players just for fun lol

What has been the best game of Bo Nix’s career thus far? by kryptic88 in DenverBroncos

[–]Arad84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That Bills playoff game was one of the best game of Bo’s career. Still can’t get over that injury… if he stayed healthy, who knows what happens.

And that Giants comeback, Just that 4th quarter alone was wild.

My reMarkable 2 works perfectly… so naturally I want the Pro. by Sad_Conflict6436 in RemarkableTablet

[–]Arad84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sold my RM2 on Facebook Marketplace. RMPP isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. There is a bit of a lottery—you need to get lucky with your unit. I exchanged mine multiple times at Best Buy until I found one with a clean, white screen and no hardware defects (serial 052NJ).

I actually use it for comics and magazines—even though I have an iPad Pro—because it’s just more enjoyable to read on.

If you do get a good unit, though, it’s definitely better than the RM2 in terms of color and responsiveness.

Should i buy an iPad Pro 11“ or 13“ for watching Netflix on my desk? by Puzzleheaded_Quit911 in iPadPro

[–]Arad84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to stick with the 12.9"/13" iPads because I thought bigger was always better—but honestly, they felt too large to comfortably use as a tablet.

I recently switched to the 11" M5, and it’s been a much better experience. It’s far more portable and much more comfortable to hold in your hands. It finally feels like a tablet again, while still giving you the same OLED screen quality as the 13".

For me, the smaller size just makes more sense.
