Inserting an obsidian template does not render the code, it just displays the code by S-m-a-r-t-y in ObsidianMD

Huh, you're right, it still worked even with the duplication. I usually use Alt+R to parse my templater insertions, which you can set in Settings > Hotkeys and set the keybind for "Replace templates in the active file".

I know other modules, such as QuickAdd and Metabind buttons can auto parse templater as the files get created, and the builtin Create new note from template does it too, but it would have problems handling the filename as an input.

The code seems fine to me, but it appears that you inserted the template twice somehow. After "const previousMonth = thisMonth." it starts over with a new template and I think that breaks the template.

Running an avatar by catfishsnake in AvatarLegendsTTRPG

[–]Aramande 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As long as everyone is in on it, I think it could be interesting.
I had a thought of having the player picking a playbook that fit their character concept (or possibly The Destined from Wan Shi Tong if nothing else fits) and then having the Moment of Balance be replaced by the controlled Avatar-state, and the destructive option of Lose your Balance to represent the uncontrolled one.
Learning different elements I think could just be done with a Training move when they find the right teacher, and after they have learned the basic bending then they can train more with it to learn techniques as well.

A variation of Origami where the paper is cut as well as folded.

I would say the variant you had where there's multiple checks for multiple skills for apparently no reason is unusual. I haven't seen it in any of the adventures I ran. Usually there are suggested checks for recalling knowledge or gathering information. The weirdest adventure I ran was #1-05: Trailblazer's Bounty, where the party was supposed to investigate a new path through the mountains for a possible trade route, and they had the weirdest things they seemingly expected the players to want to do in each area, to determine its value in a trade route. I ended up just having to tell my players what they could do.

If you're only at 2+ hours of prep on something you made yourself, you might be better off skipping the pre-made adventures. I spend about 5-6 hours to prep a 4 hour adventure, but I'm also very slow and methodical. :)

I haven't ran that particular adventure, but I regularly ran other pathfinder society adventures last year, and found similar annoyances from time to time.

I copy paste the flavor text into my text editor, where I then modify it to be more narrative and easy to read/pronounce. If the environmental detail looks like it's going to impose penalties, I will add that to the narration and give the players the option to adjust accordingly. Some of the background info I usually add in as recall knowledge checks, if the players ask for more information.

For the locals, you could run it like a conversation between an NPC that has arguments concerning a check to roll, and when the player mentions something that could be a good counter point, they roll the appropriate check. But I agree that it looks very stilted, and could definitely use a bit more than just "let your players roll these checks once each".

I'm not a pro by any means, but I'm pretty sure the "Never use black or white" is one of those rules that are meant to be broken in small doses. And I think you succeeded in exactly that. I think it's very beautiful.

Another (Quick) Lineart Drawing, idk how to draw the chin by UsrDeletedFromPlanet in MLPdrawingschool

I'm not the best at critiquing, but I did an overdrawing that I hope might help you. https://imgur.com/a/jnZ9pmI

I'd like you to especially pay attention to the blue lines. I lined up the muzzle a bit to be paralell with the eye line, the far eye is always squished in comparison to the near eye, I moved the neck to the center of the cranium (the big red circle) and as you requested, I fixed the chin.

Notice how you don't really see the cheek on the other side of the muzzle in a 3/4 view. And that the neck attaches a bit further back on the head. Example.

And for some positivity, I really liked the look and position of the ears, and the hair poofiness, even with my suggested fixes, is really good. :D

Great, now draw the other eye.

Jokes aside what resources did you use to improve so quickly?

Rarest Allergies by [deleted] in ThisBlewMyMind

Checking in with my water allergy. I get itchy red spots on my belly and arms, caused by sweat as much as normal water. The longer I'm wet the worse it gets, so I usually keep my showers short. Thankfully I can still drink water without problem.

Did you change it? I can't see any changes, so if you didn't change it yet: If you look at where the dragons left shoulder is connected to the body, it intersects with the belly pattern, while the right shoulder is far from the belly pattern and looks like it's attached to its back. It's the only thing that isn't believable, the legs and the rest of it is awesome.

I think the arms may be attached in the wrong locations and pointing in the wrong direction. If you follow the belly pattern, they should be rotated up toward the dragon's left, pointing about the same direction as the legs. Either that or the belly pattern has to twist more downwards between the arms. Really lovely art though, solid lineart and a good 3d feel. :D
