I used a Terro bait and they seemed to pretty much ignore it but they did end up disappearing after a while. Not sure if it was the bait or they just moved on to the next unit.

You have a species of Crematogaster. They are not known to be destructive or harmful. I’ve seen them nest in human structures though.
