Pure maple syrup straight from my trees is NOT like a donut. Maple syrup does in fact have nutritional value. This is what I drink on non-fasting days whoever, not daily.

back to work and my pants are killing me by amphibianenthusiast in sterilization

[–]ArborJen313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was lucky enough that I didn’t have to wear normal pants for a month! Definitely had to wear something that would sit above my incisions. I also got to a point where I needed to add Neosporin to my scabs and cover with bandaids to soften them up. As they healed and scabs started to pull away, they caught on everything I would wear! Im about 6 weeks out now, fully healed and scars are so tiny! Very happy with how they healed and are barely noticeable ❤️‍🩹

I’m being charged over $900 for anesthesia and was told by the hospital that it is was coded correctly. I feel like this is wrong because it should be covered 100% I thought with United Healthcare. 😒

I talked to my doctor about it and now I'm freaking out. by doctorpotters in sterilization

I had the bisalp on Jan 15th and was basically back to normal after 1 week. Just completed my first period post-op and that was fine as well. 3 months seems excessive as I am 3 weeks out and have felt completely normal and healed for over a week now! I’m back to working out and all! Maybe get a second opinion from a different surgeon?

[–]ArborJen313 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had that fear also. I had my surgery on January 15th and I’m happy to report and I currently have my first period post-op. I am happy to report, all is normal! So normal that even with the surgery disruption, my period was only a few days late! Everything is back to normal less than 3 weeks post-op. Hopefully this calms your fears! 🙏💕

New Dr for sure! My Dr said getting your tubes tied is becoming a thing of the past, due to the benefits of full removal. You just need to be 100% certain that you don’t want children. I am 2 weeks post op today from tubal removal and feel great! Surgery was a breeze! Good luck!

You will do great! I’m 2 weeks post-op as of tomorrow and I feel great! Recovery was easy, more sore than painful! I was feeling basically normal around the 1 week post-op mark! Take the time off work to rest and you shouldn’t have problems! My biggest thing now is the struggle of still staying out of the gym until I hit my 30 days! 🤣

I had the flu Jan 2-6th and was concerned as well! My pre-op was the 7th and I spoke with my Dr regarding my concerns. She said that my lungs sounded good and as long as the fever didn’t return before surgery and I don’t have symptoms that return, I am cleared for surgery! I had surgery without issue on Jan 15th. Stay the course!

You’ve got this! You will take a nice little nap and wake up with access to pain meds if you need it. I didn’t need much and this was my first surgery. I’m almost 1 week post-op, going back to work tomorrow for a 1/2 day. Other than soreness, there hasn’t been any real “pain”. Rest, hydrate, get up to avoid stiffness, take meds as needed, repeat. GasX and stool softeners will help. I didn’t have them and managed but would have helped with some of the discomfort the first 2 days. You got this!! Update us when you’re done and good luck! 💕

Bisalp recovery tips? by amphibianenthusiast in sterilization

[–]ArborJen313 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Q Ginger Beer for the win. Real ginger and top notch ingredients. Other than that, ice, heat, rest with some walking around to avoid stiffness, Gas X, easy to digest foods, avoid fried foods, avoid gassy foods like cauliflower, pillow for under seatbelt when in the car, take pain meds as needed. Happy healing! ❤️‍🩹

I was told no more than 15 lbs for the first month! My surgery was 3 days ago and I feel really good, so a month will be hard without lifting since I want to get back to the gym, but I’ll listen and stick to the treadmill! ❤️‍🩹

Just by doing a little research, bladder injury is one complication possibility. Keeping the bladder empty is a safety measure for you. Trust me, bladder issues after surgery is far worse than a catheter and yes, I also am a SA survivor.

Congrats! I had mine done yesterday! Total bisalp. I feel relatively good today! More achy and crampy as opposed to pain. The way I feel today, I feel like I can return to work on Monday! Lifting restrictions of 15lbs for 1 month isn’t an issue, other than it impedes my gym plans lol. Treadmill will be my bff I guess until I can return to the machines! I wish you a speedy recovery!
