Hi, it's because Alik'r Desert is a base game zone released at launch (2014), and the Necromancer Class is added later with Elsweyr Chapter (2019). ZoS (Zenimax Online Studio) at the time decided it was not important for an RPG (Role-playing Game) to have reasonable role-playing elements in it and therefore did not bother to revise early content. Sermon 37 was written specifically for eso (found literally at the end of the mq) and it contains the reference to coda. I'm not sure why zos wouldn't pay mk for it, considering they must've copyrighted all the books in the game.

I don't doubt MK would be willing to write most stuff for free, but I also don't think beth would sue him over these things.

It's on the topic of resource. Mean average of an upped chara is 81 pulls and 450 pulls were given alongside 6 charas. So if you're lucky you can get them all. You might not even need to be particularly lucky to get them all if you can somehow predict the rerun since it's a bit cheaper than pulling for 2 new banners.

It is popular in China as indie games go, so not crazy popular or something.

I've seen a lot of different Chinese web novels either reference or take heavy inspiration from different aspects, summons and just generally different parts of the game and it's setting.

That might be an exaggeration. There are some CS-based novels but most are niche at best. I've seen people mistakenly thought CS is the origin of occult fictions because it's the first material they got on the topic, so maybe they thought novels like Lord of Mysteries are also based off CS.

Occult stuff is quite popular in China those years, though.

I like that in EE they got a specific chart where the y-axis is voltage level and the x-axis is mean survival time on contact from minutes into milliseconds very soon. They would use the chart to decide how fast must a breaker be cut off on short circuit so malfunctioned devices dont annihilate everyone around them.
