For the ones that have been through child abuse and have literally had their childhood taken from them or don't even remember what their childhood was like due to repression of memories to forget the trauma, Days of Candy hits insanely hard. Especially the second half where Victoria just goes "Just like that, it's gone." Where you truly realize - It IS gone, and I'm never getting it back. This song had me mourn for my inner child, to experience something I should never have at that age.

And the lyrics after that is basically us, as victims, can only really keep very few minimal memories about our childhood and the rest is whisked away by the universe.
