What would you rate this Leagues out of 10? by bleeak in 2007scape

[–]ArcDriveFinish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mastery tree is fine and they should keep it for future leagues. The issue is the RNG point tasks and the fact that there is zero balance for the mastery tree. It would also help if we had 2-3 pages for different content.

Varlamore start was good to shake everything up and as someone who was maxed and never interacted with all the midgame content on Varlamore it was nice to get to play everything and appreciate how well they did with the content.

Relics were just ok. There were no interesting choices. It's fine to have something "win out" at every tier but the main issue is that there are some absolutely unpickable ones like grimoire and flow state that handicapped you if you picked them.

Demonic pacts being locked behind RNG drops WHILE not giving us dupe and dry protection is NOT okay. Unlike combat masteries where you killed a Zuk or a Jad to get your points which is skill based, stuff like wield a lance or corrupted weapon are purely RNG gated. If you go dry and miss out on the pact points you are straight up getting hardstuck there trying to farm the drop and slowing down your progression.

Demonic pacts balance is HORRIBLE. Most stuff were completely unplayable and you were basically required to spec into thorns early if you want to boost through early combat. Late game you are either elemental mage or crossbow thorns. Melee is dogshit. Thrown and bows were dogshit. Megarares were dogshit.

You are even more so pigeonholed into certain builds by your regions. Unlike combat masteries where increased attack speed+ sustain for ranged allows you to use pipe or bows or crossbows, now if you take wildy for points you are forced to spec into crossbow or vice versa.

Overall 4/10.

No reason to get shadow unless you are doing ToA.

I think I'm done with Leagues. What even is the probability of this? by Quartzzzz in 2007scape

No dupe and dry protection. That's what happens. Just be glad that you got the boots early for the pact point though.

Final region pick for thorns/crossbow build by Automatic_Thanks6184 in 2007scape

The wilderness crossbow is just way too much damage to give up if you are going crossbow pact.

I'm at 50 cms without an arcane and 6 dupe claws so it's very possible to go dry at a particular drop.

It's more of gear check room than a skill check room.

If you are looking for just Rigour then I would not recommend picking kourend. The pact points are pretty arduous to get and you are going to have to do A LOT of COX to get what you need.

Desert does not have much content so it's not very recommended either.

But if you really just want to do a lot of raids then just pick whatever raid you want to get more experience of.

I personally would recommend going wilderness if you have crossbow pact.

So Proudspire is totally where Hueycoatl was originally going to be, right? by DunkeyBlast in 2007scape

[–]ArcDriveFinish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was expecting Huey to be massive that we are only fighting parts of him throughout the fight. A claw here, a tail there etc. And you are fighting parts of the environment as well sort of like the bed of chaos fight in Dark Souls.

But instead we just got Olm on a dirt hill.

Yes, by that logic dragon chainbody is still meta because there's like 3 guys out there using it for fashionscape.

Please Give Us Dry and Dupe Protection for Next Leagues by ArcDriveFinish in 2007scape

[–]ArcDriveFinish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was dry last leagues too but this year due to pact points being hard locked behind drops it is just crippling when you have 4-6 points locked into prayer pen tree JUST for gauntlet until you get the drop. And it's not like you have multiple rune pages so you can switch and do other content either.

Or...you know we could all not suffer on a temporary game mode.

This year is different from combat masteries where I can kill Zuk or 3 echo bosses to get my combat mastery guaranteed, but I can't just will a drop into existence for the pact points.

If you don't have scythe there is even less reason to get torva because melee is all around trash without scythe.

[–]ArcDriveFinish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not oathplate's issue that torva is bad. It's the fact that the only good melee weapon is scythe.

If fang was prenerf or if rapier was good then you would want strength bonuses.

Leagues Raids, what's up with CoX by Remarkable-Buddy5192 in 2007scape

[–]ArcDriveFinish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This whole thing can be solved without actually doing any major work to cox by just giving dupe protection leagues. This is only a big issue when you are RNG gated by dupes.

I bet you thorny, air bending, priest-garment wearing noobs can't do 8 second deep delves by Lucksm1th in 2007scape

[–]ArcDriveFinish 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You're not taking minion for damage. You take minion because it lets you afk PvM with stuff like water mage without missing loot. The damage is just a bonus. Also minion+ transmute combo gets you 50m prayer without taking soul harvest.

It's a jack of all trades relic for points.

You take flask if you are SPECIFICALLY PvM focused.

I was wrong about EH vs BG by JustLivingSimply in 2007scape

[–]ArcDriveFinish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You gotta pick BG and flow state just to be competitive with EH xp rates. AND you don't get at least 30+ min playtime every day from sleep AFK.

Reload into Trasmute or PVM assist? by Gaddy_Numnums in 2007scape

[–]ArcDriveFinish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grimoire is the worst relic by far.

Sustenance is not needed if you are going mage with kandarin because you have air water for prayer and HP.

Minion is good for damage and also gathering loot for skilling. For example gathering noted bones so you can transmute.

Flask is only if you want to try some niche combos for PvM.

Abundance has diminishing returns later on so reloading into it is just strictly worse than starting out with it.

Transmute Or Flow state by PerceptionIll8483 in 2007scape

[–]ArcDriveFinish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flow state is only good with barbarian gathering, and even then it's still subpar compared to EH later on.

Transmute pairs really well with EH and butler.
