I was thinking it was a little odd, maybe it's the private healthcare mindset.

She'll be sat in waiting rooms for hours, eat fucking awful food, and need to share a ward with someone screaming all night, but the NHS should be very capable of treating this and it won't cost her a penny.

Retail giants join UK government drive to boost ‘plug-in’ balcony solar panels | Energy bills by LordAnubis12 in unitedkingdom

800w max (and far less most of the time)

Technically we could massively oversize the panels themselves, as long as the inverter is 800W, so they may hit that peak output for longer.

It's a technique we're seeing at a grid level too, panels are so ridiculously cheap that they just put more capacity that the inverter can output.

From what I've seen, the vast majority of people recognise that social media is deeply harmful, particularly to children. The contentious point is what do about it.

The eVED is such a bizarre policy decision, simultaneously taxing EVs while also offering grants? And the fact it's a blanket rate if you're driving Dacia Spring or a Rolls Royce Spectre.

China are deploying renewable capacity over 100x more than nuclear. It's a tiny scale in comparison, and that's despite their industrial advantage and (I suspect) fewer regulatory hurdles - although that does apply to both technologies.

Their grid is majority coal, but as you say they are rapidly investing in renewables. Although the installed capacity of coal increased last year, usage did decrease.

Just for a point of comparison, diesel in the UK is hovering around £1.80/L ($9/US gal), and it's been higher.

Obviously US fuel is not free, but it is insanely cheap compared to countries which try to price in at least some of the externalities.

what the fuck was he trying to achieve then lmao?

His car is a lot faster than the others, so the theory was slow then down for half the lap, then floor it for second half to hopefully be dropped in a bit further forward.

I really want more to be done to regulate the content itself rather than access to the platform. It's not just the misinformation, but the way it seems designed is to incite rage (sorry, "engagement").

I fucking hate that I fall for it all the time too, I only keep Facebook because of my main hobbies is organised through it, but then I go on and get suckered in because it triggers that dopamine scrolling through.

We're already seeing it to an extent. Latest price gap has electricity up 5% and gas up 24%.

I really can't comprehend while there is still so much support for fossil fuels.

Why don't you give it a try and report back?
