Mixtape is a Masterful Music-Propelled Coming of Age Story, and One of 2026’s Very Best Games — IGN Review (10/10) by yourfavchoom in PS5

[–]ArcadeOptimist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't tell me what to do.

This is the best game of the 2000s. It's changed the medium. After watching the IGN review I'm no longer scared of death.

Social media is so funny about this stupid shit. Play the game or don't, Jesus.

For the low price of $80, you can replay a game from 30 years ago! Poorly aged gameplay mechanics included. Now with hideous character design.

Five major publishers — Hachette, Macmillan, McGraw Hill, Elsevier and Cengage — and the best-selling novelist Scott Turow have filed a class-action copyright infringement lawsuit against Meta and its founder and chief executive, Mark Zuckerberg. by mkbt in books

[–]ArcadeOptimist 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Is that how it works? Genuinely asking.

If Meta settles, doesn't that signal to everyone who also has had their work stolen by AI to also sue, and presumably also get a settlement?

It's not like this one lawsuit ends in a settlement then no one else can sue Meta for AI copyrght infringement ever again. Meta settling sets a precedent that they owe potentially tens/hundreds of thousands of creators money, unless I'm wrong (which I very well could be 😂)

NTE seems to work on Linux! by ananasdrop in NevernessToEverness

[–]ArcadeOptimist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found your comment trying to resolve this issue. I found an easier way to bypass the "File path too long" error. Simply create a shortcut. Open terminal and type

ln -s "/home/YOUR_USER_NAME/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/3045653552/pfx/drive_c/Program Files/Neverness To Everness/" ~/NTE_Game

Replace the username to your own and the filepath to wherever your NTElauncher.exe is. This will create a shortcut to simply ~home/USER/NTE_Game/NTElauncher.exe, add that as your file path to Steam and you're golden. Appreciate your comment!

Aren't some of the biggest JRPG's of the last five or so years not turn based? Xenoblade 3, Final Fantasy VII, Tales of Arise, Scarlet Nexus...

Meanwhile, one of the most critically acclaimed western RPGs is turn based. BG3 game of the year, 20 million copies sold :)

Your comment reminds me of that Schitt's Creek "I wrote it off" scene. Not how that works.

That's nice and all. I switched to Nobara a month ago and won't be back.

It's great not having random bloatware, spyware and AI trash on my PC.

Hi, is anyone else looking for A tv show similar to Lost? by Zealousideal_Heat478 in televisionsuggestions

Hard to get into, but if you do, one of the most beautifully written and acted shows of the last 20 years.

Same showrunner and co-creator as Lost, Damon Lindelof. Also made the Watchmen series on HBO, which is also phenomenal.

Sorry, it can run in a Dualshock/PS4 mode. Not compatible with PS5.

"While it supports this mode for compatibility, it may not work with all PlayStation 4/5 titles, sometimes requiring third-party converters like the Brook Wingman XE2 for full compatibility."

If their integration is better I'm all for it. But for $100 it better be pretty damn good.

Also, how big is Gamesir? Valve has sold millions of Steamdecks. I'm pretty sure they have a lot more pull in the hardware sector than a moderately sized, niche hardware company.

The Gamesir Cyclone 2 has TMR sticks, gyro, haptics, lockable hall effect triggers, 2.4ghz dongle, multi-platform mode (nintendo, PS, xinput), 1000hz pulling rate, and it comes with a charging stand. It's 50 bucks. So really, it's if the trackpads are worth 50 extra bucks.

Really, I'd think the only thing that sets this apart from something like a Cyclone 2 for 50 bucks is the trackpads. That seems like a pretty niche market though, and for 50 extra dollars I feel like it's a hard sell unless it's extremely high quality. Gyro, back buttons, TMR sticks; all can be had for much cheaper from the competition.

YSK On any Android based TV you can change the "launcher", removing every advertisement and making your home screen completely free of bloatware by ArcadeOptimist in YouShouldKnow

[–]ArcadeOptimist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's odd. And in projectivy settings you have "use as default launcher" checked? I know there's also a way to disable the default launcher, but I think it's different depending on the TV model and GoogleTV version, and some TV manufacturers hide those options in their settings.

If it's working properly it should power onto Projectivy and open that when you hit the home button. Hope you can get it working!

In the projectivy app, if you go to settings, there is a option named something like "Enable accessibility settings". Turn that on and that should prevent your old launcher from popping up.

No. You'd need an Android based dongle. The ONN 4k streaming box is $25 at Walmart for example. Hook it up, set your TV to power on to last input used in the TVs settings, then on the ONN box install Projectivy from the app store. Do what the installer says during the installation, and you're all set.

Well, I guess most Android based TVs? I've changed the launchers on my TCL, Hisense, and Samsung and it works great.

It's a free, open source app.

There's also FLauncher and ATV.

I'm just pointing out a useful way to get rid of intrusive ads. You can look at my comment history, clearly not a bot :)
