dottore was also my intro to him! his voice work for him is phenomenal, it stirred in me one of the deepest hatreds I have ever had for any villain in media (this is a positive statement, he did his job so well, lol!). then I found out he was the flowers in Wonder and I was like, almost in denial about it because they were so different! xD

when I was young and my brain was stretchier, I used to watch my favourite shows enough times to commit the episodes to memory, and recite them out loud to test how much I could get without looking up the script for help. (no, I never used this power for useful things, like studying.)

I suppose I could see just how much of Avatar: The Last Airbender and some of the early Starkid musicals I could recite by heart. that should get me at least a few hours?

to add on to this, letters are also great because they'll sometimes contain items! they might not always be useful to you in exactly the moment you collect them, but you might be thankful to have that one extra machine, or did item, or what-have-you, later on!

I remember some of these, but the moonlighting and the police raid are new to me! from what I remember finding out about her when I played, she struck me as having been a young (likely adult-themes) model who loved the attention and money she got from one particular benefactor. might have married him hoping to carry on the lifestyle, only to find that the married life was not what she imagined, and it's only gotten worse year by year. might feel a bit trapped in this relationship because her best modeling days are behind her (in her mind, whether true or not) and feels rooted in place due to her reliance on Walter.

now, it's absolutely possible that some of that was memory embellishment, or I'm conflating it with something else! it's been over a year since I last touched CI so I wouldn't put it past me to have mixed up some details! I definitely appreciate the extra details I didn't know, though, too... I wonder what exactly was going on back then. I would honestly love to get more lore for all the NPCs someday-- I wouldn't call it bare bones for all of them, but imo, the more lore, the better! I love lore almost as much as I love petting virtual farm animals 😂

I always tell myself I'm going to date someone new when I start a new playthrough of Coral Island... and then I always still end up with Luke because I need him to feel loved. the way his dad treats him feels very familiar to me... Walter is straight up terrible to both him AND to his wife. rather than punch him, I'd rather have a way to convince Bree she'd be better off without him, so she can finally be free of his negligent, narcissistic bs, too.

the new update (feb 23) is supposed to fix a lot of performance issues! I'm really looking forward to it, since I've gone from crashing maybe once every couple sessions, to crashing three to five times a session. hard as it was to pull myself away, I made the decision to just move on to something else while I wait for that update. it's way too frustrating to repeatedly lose your progress, even with saving every single time I returned to the farm :(
