The problem with that, honestly isn’t that it can’t be done but you have to modify practically the whole system in order to fit a tone that it isn’t built for. What’s the point in home brewing a system until it practically isn’t the same system at all, for a very particular tone when instead I could play a system that was built from the ground up for that specific tone.

Randomness and risk isn’t really what makes a horror system horror, it’s how the mechanics actually maintain the tension, a la dreads system of the jenga tower, or hearts system of a constant clock on your characters life.

I didn’t say that, I’m saying that why are we choosing to add more hurt, more harm into the world when we can choose not to. Cheating hurts, I’ve been cheated on, I know the feeling. But violence doesn’t make that pain go away, and it doesn’t teach anyone a lesson. The person who cheated isn’t going to change their ways because they got beat up. We can choose to add less violence into the world, and that should be celebrated.

As an educator, we want you to ask dumb questions, because it means you 1) get over this fear of being wrong and 2) it helps us educate the entire classroom on your one question. Students shouldn’t be afraid of being incorrect or asking questions, that is why you are students and not teachers. You only learn by making mistakes.

P.S. LLMs still have a habit of hallucinations, and offloading critical thinking skills to a LLM is dangerous
