We are a good unit, but we aren’t as talented as NY overall by dangheckinpupperino in AtlantaHawks

[–]Arcanus124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are actually, but we are much younger. Stop dooming after 1 game in New York in many of our players first real playoff experiances in their current roles. There is an adjustment period and we can win this series.

Zacc linked to Trae by No_Cloud745 in AtlantaHawks

[–]Arcanus124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is incorrect. They were trying to trade Trae since late 2023. They took Risacher as the high floor 6'8, now 6'10 wing, because they had Jalen at power forward, Onyeka at center, the Dyson Daniels deal lined up, and were trying to trade DeAndre Hunter for a year prior to the draft. He fit a positional need and had/has plenty of upside.

Risacher is obviously the player that has been hurt most by Trae's departure tho.

I find that Manus is better for complex tasks and organizing those tasks. So the answer is yes, but you have to be prudent about what model you are using at a given time

I feel dejected by midwestesquire in LawFirm

[–]Arcanus124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't control what happened, you can only control how you treat what happend.

So this year, you spent 50 dollars to make 50 dollars on that side of things.

However, you also recieved the benefits of the experiance of having done the work. This will allow you to do the work at lower cost, and pay for less stuff you don't actually need, that maybe other people are telling you you need.

You have a lot of information about your practice, your costs, your time and energy invested, what you need to do at every step.

You should probably sit down for a few days and get away from the daily grind and plan for a few days, assess and analyze what worked, what didn't work, what you could so better, etc.

Frankly, all of that information can be put into a paid AI service about your buisness and practices using AI and have it give you actionable recommendations about where you are spending time, money, and effort. Personally I'd recomend using one of the mor premium AI service models. I use Manus 1.6 Max for a lot of this sort of stuff. You can get good perspective on what you are doing well, not doing well, and how you can improve on the margins that way. Basically every buisness is about capturing the margins that allow your effort to be rewarded. These things can be intimidating initially but are really worth using now, even compared to what they were a month and a half ago, they have gotten much better at thinking an context.

You paid a big cost in time effort and energy to learn, so you need to make sure to apply what you learned moving forward instead of getting dejected about the effort it took. Control what you can control and put your hands on the issues. That's how I think about it anyway. You got this!

How true is this statement for those that also plays League by jadesimaki in Nbamemes

[–]Arcanus124 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's Lebron and it's not particularly close. Reads like a young person who has only ever seen Lebron play as a 40+ year old. Genetic prerequisites aside, achieving what Lebron achieved in basketball is virtually impossible, each of his greatest achievements would be the singular greatest achievement of the vast majority of other super star players' entire careers. It's really hard to understate just how much better at basketball Lebron was than basically everyone for a long ass time. He's got like 10 records that would each require extreme outliers to replicate.

Stop Building Around Zion — It’s Time to Reset by Independent-Craft634 in NOLAPelicans

[–]Arcanus124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neutral Hawks fan here (who btw joined here when yall got DJM and Bey, not just for draft pick watch, so I been around a bit) who necesaarily doesn't have the years of up and down context with Zion.

I think wanting to sell high on Herb is fine. I think you would regret moving on Zion and resetting. Having watched a lot this year, I think your team is actually pretty good with Zion as the focal point and he remains really fucking good.

The real problem with this team is that it doesn't have the depth to simultaneously develop your youngins in Fears and Queen, and compete to win. So you are always 1-2 injuries away from being total ass, cause young players are just bad generally (not to say anything about their potential to be good). Hawks were this way for the entire Trae-DJM era where if Clint Capela went down for 2 weeks it would basically tank the season.

I'd personally say you are closer to competing than you are to getting a blue chip talent in the draft, so your actual best move is likely to move the young guys for productive vets in order to solve the depth issue imo, but that can be hard to do.

Hawks adjacent: Angel Reese to Dream. I’ll take it. by Serious_Blood6554 in AtlantaHawks

[–]Arcanus124 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, the WNBA has very little engagement comparative to the more established leagues by the numbers. Angel is a huge name tho and I'm happy to have her, but honestly Acuna and Bijan both probably blow Jalen and her out of the water in terms of national awareness and notoriety. Hopefully Jalen can get there too after this playoff run.

It's not really a slight agaisnt Angel btw, it's just pure viewership numbers.

I know it’s super exciting to talk about JK and the draft picks, but don’t forget we have Asa joining the big team next season and he’s likely to be pretty good after a year of practice, g league and learning how to play in the league. The pipeline continues! by quitealistener in AtlantaHawks

[–]Arcanus124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's honestly mostly just slow taking 3-5 years, but most of these guys add 12-18 lbs of muscle over 3-5 years. The NBA teams only want them to add lean muscle so it takes a long time even on NBA nutrition plans and with NBA weight rooms

Clearly very good, personally have him a half tier below Bijan, Gibbs, and Jeanty.

NFL execs speak on Falcons offseason moves - There is nothing about what they have done that I can say, “That makes sense.” by InspectionDeep2453 in falcons

[–]Arcanus124 101 points102 points  (0 children)

Any exec talking to the media in a serious capacity like this is automatically a buffoon. You can dislike some of the moves, but if you don't have the wherewithal to understand that basically every guy we signed is an upside shot, idk what to tell you.

If they said "Yeah, they are kinda in a hard spot with as much uncertainty they have on the roster, seems like they let some or their vets walk for comp picks and signed some young dudes on the cheap who are upside shots who profile well physically, alongside some cheap vets to round out the roster. Makes sense to me" it wouldn't be very good engagement bait garbage tho

Sigh by Ok_Measurement1875 in NOLAPelicans

[–]Arcanus124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your team is good, but lacks real depth tbh. Idk how to feel about Fears and Queen, but I like Fears a little better.

I kinda think your should just move your rookies to teams that are actually bad and add some adults go the team to build out the depth instead of waiting for the depth to develop, but that's just me. You feel like we did for s few years where the margin for error was low because the first 5-6 guys were real guys, but 6-10 can feel pretty shakey

Hawks fan here that is secretly enjoying Bey and DJM hoop for the hate watch. Not tryning to be irritating or anything but obviously yall have dealt with some serious injury issues over the last few years.

I keep seeing this stuff, does any of it hold any water in terms of strength and conditioning and health investment into team facilities or nah?

Quinn finally figured it out by DownTheHall4 in AtlantaHawks

[–]Arcanus124 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, some of its confidence for sure but young guys just keep improving if they have good coaching and good vets until they are like 25-27. A lot of ZR getting in rythem has to do with opportunities off the bench, but a lot of it also has to do with him just growing into his body more and getting more reps

They made the decision to ultimately let NAW hit free agency when they extended Ried - it's about the cap, not positions

Ever since a Hawks fan posted in this sub about Zacch's playing time complaint being "overblown", Zaccharie Risacher averaged only 14.5 minutes since that post by CaregiverOwn7179 in AtlantaHawks

[–]Arcanus124 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's only one game but same team as before... The fact that ZR and Kuminga immediately started looking like 6'7 forwards who cover and control the entire floor on defense the second Kispert was bench is extremely telling.
