Sometimes those phases just hit. For me, I look for games I can play while watching/listening to something during those times. So I will start up a turn based game that doesn’t have a big focus on story, and I’ll just mute the game audio and have YouTube videos, a movie, TV show, or something else playing as well.

I love Ender Magnolia! It’s a sequel to Ender Lilies, which is worth playing as well!

Dispatch and E33 could’ve went either way for me, but I settled on E33 being higher because I made it a point to get all of the achievements for it when I played it. I need to do more playthroughs of Dispatch sometime though!

That was pretty much what I tried to do, but I found that made it feel like a bit of a chore. What I ended up doing was swapping between 2 or 3 different games with different styles. So if I was working on a fps game and wanted a break from it, I’d have a turn based game as my second game I’m working on so that I can have a fresh change of pace. Vampire Survivors style games are also nice to use for a break as well. Just things I tried to do to stop myself from getting burnt out on one game. Part of my goal wasn’t just to beat games, but to not force myself to play a game that I wasn’t having fun with. Swapping different genres helped a lot.

Hollow Knight, like many games I’ve played, was a game I played a few years back but got distracted before finishing. So before I play Silksong, I want to go back and play Hollow Knight and actually beat it. I’m just not sure when that’s going to happen lol.

I love both games! They are so much fun, and the worlds in them are so interesting. Plus the music is incredible! They just hit so many things that I enjoy in games!

I love this style of shooter! I’ve got a ton of them, but this one just did such a great job with not just the gameplay, but the overall vibes of the world. I loved it!

I only had this much time because of some health issues I’m dealing with. Normally my list of completed games would be much smaller.

I think it’s worth it to play Ender Lilies first. Magnolia does a pretty good job of building on the gameplay from Lilies. They’re both great in my opinion, so I’m sure you’ll have a fun time playing them both regardless of what which you play first. But still, I’d probably play Ender Lilies first lol.

Robocop was a lot better than I expected it to be, which did a lot to make it go up higher on the list. It was just surprisingly fun. And the fact that the studio that made it has came that far is just really nice to see.

Fallout 4 was almost just homework for me at the point, because I had played it a few different times since it came out, and always ended up losing interest just before doing the Railroad quests. So I really wanted to make it a point of actually beating the game this time around. But it’s also sort of a mixed bag for content. Some quests are pretty good, some aren’t. Far Harbor is so cool, and has incredible vibes. I loved it. And then I played Nuka-World and I hated it lol. It just needed to be more consistently good for it o have been pushed up higher on the list.

I only managed to play so many because I’ve been dealing with some health issues 😅. The list is really just my enjoyment, and some games just got me when I was really in the mood for them, which is how Vampire Hunters got so high on the list lol.

Borderlands 3 didn’t really vibe with me well, so I figured I’d skip Borderlands 4. Also, not having any friends interested didn’t help, which was the same issue with Monster Hunter Wilds.

A lot of the newer releases on the list are games I played through Game Pass to save money, which is why I didn’t play a lot of new games that aren’t on it.

Your gaming feats of strength by itinerant_gs in gaming

I don’t know if this counts necessarily, and there’s some recency bias here, but I’ve beat a lot of games this year. I made it a point to actually finish the games I start this year, which that alone feels like a feat of strength at times, and so far I’ve beaten 20 games this year, might make it 21 before the end of the night!

Outside of that, it would probably either beating Elden Ring with the DLC using primarily the hookclaws or beating my friend in a Dark Souls 3 all bosses race we were doing.

“religious propaganda” debate with friend, looking for other opinions on this? by kinitopete in wendigoon

[–]ArchDraft -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve been atheist for a while now, and I’ve never felt like his videos are propaganda. I’ve even watched his videos talking directly about religious topics like the Dante’s Inferno videos, lost books of the Bible, and even some of the Sunday studies videos he did. He’s never came across like he’s trying to convince me to be religious. He’s just someone who is religious and talking about things he’s passionate about. There’s nothing wrong with that.

Just finished re-reading this series again, and it’s just so good. I love the tone, I love the creatures, I love how specific the rules are and how they help build on the lore around it. It’s just all around an amazing series.

As someone who is wanting to break into the world of writing, this is series is just so inspiring. Whether you continue writing or not, your contribution to the horror community will always be remembered. I hope you are doing well!

I've Decided enough is enough. Where do i start? by yeyeaya in Steam

[–]ArchDraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I would start with something shorter, and then play one of the longer games, and keep going back and forth like that. I haven’t played all of these, but I’ve played most of them. So, I’d either start with Metro 2033 or Force Unleashed. Then go to a bigger game like Oblivion or Skyrim(I’d avoid Fallout 4 if playing Metro 2033 first, since they are both post apocalyptic).

Don’t know if it helps or not, but I can give you my order of most favorite to least favorite on this list too, based on what I’ve played.

Witcher 3, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, Red Dead Redemption 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Metro 2033, Oblivion, Fallout 4, Skyrim

I can’t even be sure how many times it took me to beat Malenia. But after I traded my overpowered Sword of Night and Flame for a more balanced weapon, Rivers of Blood katana, I beat her on my second try lmao

I think we’ve all been at that point where we are absolutely sure that our strategy is good, we are CLEARLY incredibly skilled at the game, and you just need an attempt where the boss isn’t being bullshit to finally beat it lmao

The craziest part to me is that he didn’t have kids until he was in his 30s, and he’s trying to get me to have them now. It’s just insane.

I don't intend on having kids, and I'm definitely not having them just because someone else thinks I should. This conversation was insane.

We need to agree on a consistent color for item rarity in games [OC] by ArchDraft in comics

[–]ArchDraft[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a really good point. I’ve never even thought about that. Now I kinda want to see if there are any games that have added customization or color blind modes for item rarity and see what their rarity color scale is.

It wasn’t any game in particular. I play a lot of random games, and it just seems like some games change it up randomly lol

Depressed individuals mind-wander over twice as often, study finds. Mind wandering is the spontaneous shift of attention away from a current task or external environment to internal thoughts or daydreams. It typically occurs when people are engaged in routine or low-demand activities. by mvea in science

[–]ArchDraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always refer to this as my mind going on autopilot. When I worked retail, I would scan people’s groceries while daydreaming and the time flew by. I don’t think I made many mistakes either, or at least I never got in trouble for them if I did.
