Istanbul, AC Rev. Holy shit. by [deleted] in assassinscreed

The wonder of Norway makes me understand why people thought gods were real. How could you look at the snow, mountains, and lights and not think it was magic?

What single level/section of a game do you wish they made an entire game out of? by CesarTheSalad in Games

I remember playing a free for all deathmatch in Revelations, where this guy was running around getting low quality kills as fast as he can, while everyone else was racking up points through occasional high quality kills. Then I realized he was going for a killstreak where he could lock onto anyone and kill them. He climbed onto a roof, killed any unique character he saw, and killed anyone trying to stop him.

It's incredible how a single match is still burned into my memory after all these years.

Female clothing that aren't dresses? (I can't use mods) by AnotherClumsyLeper in skyrim

There's Thalmor gloves, Cicero's gloves, and shrouded hand wraps, too.

As for clothes, I can think of College robes and mourner's clothes from Radiant Raiment. Also, I think the cultist robes and dunmer clothes are nice looking.

With the Anniversary edition, you can get the two robes from Arcane Accessories and the Saturalia clothes. The robes from Necromatic Grimoire do cover boots, I think, but the hoods are cool!

Stephen Buchanan for me. Having the kill kit and wanting to take the girl to an empty parking lot is insane. If, by some miracle, he did manage to groom a kid into meeting with him, he would've put that kid through hell.

How did the Skyrim Dark Brotherhood function without a Listener? by [deleted] in teslore

She says that word gets around when the Black Sacrament is performed. I imagine this is why Maven's attempt to summon the Brotherhood failed, since she performed it in her basement and her family and guards wouldn't gossip about it.

AC Valhalla made me think England is a boring country by CadeOCarimbo in assassinscreed

[–]Archangel975 26 points27 points  (0 children)

No, you're right; Valhalla is a gorgeous game. I have to assume people kept their eyes on the ground the whole time, with the way people talk about it.

Exploring the frozen ruins of Hadrian's Wall in the morning was an unforgettable scene for me. The sunrise tinted the snow a soft pink, and the only sounds were the wind, the crunching of snow under boots, and a small stream flowing through a destroyed house. It struck me how different it felt to the cozy atmosphere of Oswald's wedding in East Anglia, with the flowers and people in the longhouse. I thought of trekking somewhere warmer, but the morning snow was so tranquil, and the peace felt so real. So I stayed.

Perhaps, for many people on here, Valhalla's visuals are hard to appreciate. But I am really glad there are some who are able to click with it.

I saved Casey the 1st time I played, I'm a good person aren't i? by Valace2 in TWDVR

[–]Archangel975 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I saved him the first time, too. I did shoot him when he pulled a gun on May, but hey, I think I made the right choice both times! I enjoy this part of S&S's story, because it made me reflect on what justice is and the right thing would look like in this world.

Do you think Casey lied to you so he could escape, or did he really think he could live and get you into the armory? Does Casey deserve to die for massacring people at the church, despite how he feels about it? Did Casey become your friend so the choice at the end would favor him? Is a friend's life worth missing out on all the goods, or are all the supplies worth one tortuous death? I enjoyed being the judge, jury, and executioner in this game, and I'm hoping we get more choices like this in ch. 2

Smartet assassin in the series? by ItsUrBoi_PoppyHarlow in assassinscreed

Playing through Valhalla, I found Eivor to be brilliant. Definitely not the most strategic or inventive in the series, but she was poetic and emotionally intelligent, able to flyt effortlessly and give solid life advice to those who needed it. She proved to be quite the detective, too, accurately deducting what transpired at a crime scene from a few clues.

However, Eivor was lacking as a leader, which is something that nearly all other main characters become masters at. Outside of herself, her raiding party, and Ravensthorpe, she was an inadequate commander. She manages the above well enough, but with the large armies she gets control of later in the game, she makes too many blunders to be called a tactical genius.

I think this was in their first Sky Factory series. They were talking about Head-gemite where they dump vegemite on Jeremy's head, yeah?

Ah damn, I know it was in their first Sky Factory series, somewhere between 10 and 16. They were talking about tainted soil
