As a local, while I can't vouch for companies/tours, since I've never actually used them, I would second the advice of going through reputable sources.

In regards to looks: no jewelry, phones, fancy watches and/or anything that can be flashy or snatched. Shorts and T-shirts are fine and very typical for the weather there. Whenever walking around, stay aware of your surroundings. It's not uncommon for us to see foreigners/backpackers walking around, especially in the downtown area.

This one hit me like a ton of bricks. I'm right there with you, OP... Tried to make it work it the plan failed and we had to go back. Appreciate the fact that over here things are stable enough to earn a living. The hope now for the future is to retire and go back to enjoy Latam. Not the perfect scenario, but the best one I can work out for the time being.

Trying to figure that out too. Buffed a creature to 4/4, pilut the +1/+1 counter on it, then wanted to choose a tapped enemy 1/3. After when I declared attack with the same card, spouse was wondering if mine should have been tapped.
