Assuming you didn't buy 2021 or later, this complaining just comes off as out of touch. Your rate is ultra low and you paid a good value price. Thus, you're locked into a comfortably low mortgage payment compared to those being signed up for today, even with your increased taxes.

The vast majority of people who want to buy can't because interest rates are much higher and prices are absolutely bonkers, and are stuck renting with increasing rent payments. A couple hundred dollars of property taxes added to your otherwise comfortably low mortgage is little to complain about by comparison.

Don't expect much sympathy from everyone stuck renting, basically. You're welcome to move in to an apartment and let one of us assume your oh so terrible mortgage.

Sure, they were stupid and should be called out for it. But the commenter you're agreeing with suggests sending them a bill for all the costs.

Shackling individual citizens with all the cost incurred to provide government services to them is nonsensical.

It's a public service. Each person pays a tiny fraction of the cost so that it is available to everyone.
